Eh, not bad. I like your SNOT approach to the mud shields, but they're just too big in comparison to the rest of the craft. I also think the rear half-circle platform is also too skinny. And are those bent flick-fire missiles?

I like the design, tough I think MOCs of this specific vehicle have been done before.

Maybe you find some inspiration looking at them.

The right cannon uses a different hinge colour (dark grey) than the left one (light grey), is this intended? I also noticed you mixed old and new grey. Maybe Bricklink might help you.

This MOC for instance seems to have the right size and is also a bit more detailed.

Still nicely done, keep it up!

Yeah this isn't one of my better MOCs, I'm improving on it now. I'll post some pics of my update soon. I don't really pay attention to the grays, all of this is bley, the photo is bad, so that's probably why.

Pretty nice alternative take on the Swamp Speeder brickartist. I must say your build have some significant improvements over the official one, like the thinner front semi-circle, more accurate blasters, and the smooth mud shields. But if you take a closer look at this reference image, the rear half circle should really be much much wider than that, like what Doc pointed out. Still, a good first attempt and knowing you you'll improve this further.

Thanks Kiel, I intend to pursue this MOC, as I said to perfectionist I'll probably do Mods until it IS perfect. I've replaced the two smal 1/4 circles with larger ones:

ss.2-main.jpg

I also added a more accurate seat design.

ss.2-side.jpg

At some point I'll redo this, and make it a lot more accurate.

I've replaced the two smal 1/4 circles with larger ones:

But still not wide enough. Based on the reference image you still have to widen it more, you'll notice a wide 'space' beside the seats that you need to make by extending the quarter-circle sideways, or using larger 1/4 circle piece.

A good improvement, but the circular half-ring should go around the rear half-circle, not above it. And I'm still not too fond of your bent flick-fire missiles.

Good you elaborate? I think that worked on the first one, but the second one. It's been removed

There is no way to make it larger and still make it look circular and not like a square with rounded edges. I'd recommend Slope Bricks and SNOT.

Notice how in the preference pic, that rim on the rear half is not above the platform, it goes around the platform. That is crucial to the look of the ISP.

Yeah I will make It wider, as well.

Well, I must admit I'm not very familiar with the look of the Infantry Support Platform (it's a CGI rendering that got incredibly little screen time) but it looks like you've created a very interesting rendition of it. The overall shape is there, and the size is pretty good (as far as minifigure dimensions go).

Brickdoctor and KielDaMan (linking to an unusual amount of reference pictures - could I be influencing them? ) have already pointed out the most important issue to be addressed - the semicircular ring surrounding the seats, which really does need to be much more massive. Might I suggest using these? (I think some of these might work as well, though it would look too skinny.)

Something no one's addressed yet - I think the forward gun mounts look too simplified. You can see in KielDaMan's reference picture that there are three distinct components to each gun mount - two square structures from which cannons protrude around a skinny knob. I think that using minifigure screwdrivers attached to these (which would be in turn attached to one of these) might achieve the look of the guns better.

There's got to be some way you can incorporate the little wings on either side of the large booster - maybe a slope brick of some sort?

If I were making one of those I wouldn't even have considered minifigure scale (as the design looks rather complicated and frustrating to recreate) but you've managed to do pretty well in such a small size.

I like how you're still working on this!

I also agree with Masked Builder that the chairs look really good, it's more evident on the new picture.

Still, I'm not sure about the half circle. It should go around the curve as Brickdoctor said; and it also should be a bit wider. Have you tried 3mm hose, rigid with technic pins on it? You can bend that and it's quite easy to attach! :classic:

Yeah, i know a design for those guns, I'll get right to building them!

I do have to re-word that back section, as well.

Pretty good work so far. Can't wait till you finish it!

Thanks!!

Lookin good! You've gotten the over all shape so far. And the chairs are just lovely.

Thanks Masked! :classic:

Oh, I never thought to use the hose :look: I'll have to try that. Thanks!

Nice MOC brickartist.

It looks really good - but what are you doing to your tiles?

It's all scarred :sceptic::wink:

Glad you liked it, KimT! That tile is ancient!
