vladoniki Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 (edited) Is it possible to be assembled a layout similat than that: useing switching track, straight and curved rails? Would you help me with similar construction? My idea is to turn the train direction to 180 degrees. Thanks in advance! Edited February 14, 2011 by vladoniki Quote
Sir E Fullner Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I don't think it's possible to make a layout like that. LEGO doesn't have their points at 180º, thus you need to construct it in a reversing loop. To get ideas, click here. Hope this helps. Quote
vladoniki Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 Thanks! I am talking about that: . Is it possible without flexible tracks? Quote
Snapshot Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Thanks! I am talking about that: . Is it possible without flexible tracks? For a basic reversing loop you need one point/switch, 13 curves & 7 straights - image attached. The loop you link to uses more curves and fewer straights and I can't quite see how to make it without a couple of pieces of flexi-track. Quote
Seany Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 It doesnt quite meet, but there is enough flex in the standard track for it to meet correctly. I use this quite a lot, its nice and simple, very similar to Snapshot's. Quote
Duq Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 How did you design that? That should fit exactly (it does in TrackDraw anyway). Quote
Snapshot Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 How did you design that? That should fit exactly (it does in TrackDraw anyway). And in BlueBrick. Quote
Seany Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 How did you design that? That should fit exactly (it does in TrackDraw anyway). It was done using Lego's own Track Designer, I was at work so didnt have access to any other tools, however, you would expect Lego's own tools to be correct. But I know from experience it fits together. Quote
