Bob Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 The clouds began to move in as the day started to come to a close. There was one more day after this before the people of Alabatha were to be rounded up and sent off to be detained. Judge Cain had stepped outside for a few moments to look at the clouds. He was followed by a figure, with a pistol in hand. "Looks like you just presided over your last case, Judge." the figure said. "Please! If you're going to kill me, at least have a better one liner!" "Fine, maybe if you participated in the building contest, you would have lived longer." "Is this a mod kill?!" The judge asked. "What's that? No, I'm a real player, with a real night action." The figure said. He shot the judge, twice, in the chest. Then retreated back into the hospital. A few others rushed out of the hospital moments later, Nurse Parker followed close behind. "He's still breathing...faintly." she reported. However, luck was not on the nurses' side, as she too was shot while tending to the dying judge. She let out a small gasp, before falling to the ground a few feet from where the judge. Both died a few seconds later. The townspeople stood over their fallen neighbors, their friends, who were now dead. Their numbers were thinning. Who would be next? "Hey!" a voice called. "We're not done in the hospital yet!" Director Hoffman said. --------------------- Characters: Government Workers Ian Bradford (Mayor) played by Walter Kovacs Will Ackerson (Town Councilman) played by iamded Tim Fields (Police Officer) played by CallMePie Louis Harrison (Police Officer) played by Brickme --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working Class Dieter Schneider (Chef) played by Shadows Patrick Jefferson (Lawyer) Played by Professor Flitwick James Falzone (Dock Worker) played by CorneliusMurdock Alan Simmons (Farmer) played by Fugazi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Dolores Jefferson (Housewife) played by Def Gloria Jefferson (Student) played by Admiral Ron Stevie Jefferson (Student) played by Legonater Ralph Jenkins (Retired Salesman) played by Cralegoboy Matt Liebenston (HUAC Investigator) Played by Dragonator ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Arrivals Frankie Daly (Deckhand) Played by Captain Genero Maxwell Touns (Congressional Aide) Played by Mrlegoninja Captain Pete Garrison (National Guard Captain) Played by Lord Arjay Krista Halle (Farmer) Played by Peanuts Deceased Valerie Jenkins (Housewife) played by Sok117 Jackie Harding (Ted's Wife) Played by Captain Becker Simon Lloyd (Doctor) played by Burman Ted Harding (Captain of the Lakota) Played by Capt.JohnPaul Julie “Princess” Parker (Nurse) played by The Crazy One Alan Cain (Judge) played by JCC1004 Voted Out Ryan Phelps (Police Chief) played by JimButcher (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor) 1. There are 18 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. 3. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! 4. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 5. Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it, and you'll be fine. 6. Please remember that this is the early 1950’s. No iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, computers, fax machines, or otherwise. No events past the current date either, or else people will view you as insane. 7. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. You’ll always have the option of backtracking or researching the same place. 8. The host is usually always right. If you think I’ve made an error, then please discuss this in the discussion thread or feel free to PM me. 9. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 10. Remember that although a chapter has ended, that doesn’t mean that the day has concluded, and night actions can be used. 10b. There are also chapter actions. Those of you with chapter actions have the ability to use them at the end of each chapter. 11. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. 12. This is the 1950’s, the middle of the Cold War. You’re under constant worry of potential nuclear Armageddon, so act like it. The Communists are your enemies in this game, don’t forget that. Also, anytime historical facts from the 1950’s are brought in is a big plus. Good luck!
The Legonater Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Blast- seven gone, and only one has been confirmed a commie. We need more time- something we don't have.
Fugazi Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Gun kills, again... Judge Cain fired at twice, just like Liebenston earlier... And Nurse Parker killed, it's as if someone didn't want the identity of the skeleton revealed -- though it's probably unrelated. But if they were both killed by vigilantes, we don't even know if the vigilantes are on the right track. Anyway, let's move back to the hospital before there are more deaths. I would like to enter Dr Lloyds office and have a look around.
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 We need to find these commies quick! We're droppin' off like flies! I'm startin' to wonder if the knife killer just changed their killing methods... I'd like to examine both bodies for any notes or signs of their allegiances. Will we ever find that out about our other dead people, Bob?
Admiral Ron Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Dammit! We are getting picked off like flies. I would also like to enter Dr Loyd's office.
Captain Genaro Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I would like to go back inside the hospital and see what caused the loud noise at the end of the last chapter.
def Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I suppose I'll go with the men to the doctor's office.
Professor Flitwick Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Well there goes our chance of identifying Laura. I'd like to enter the Doctors office, get a description, and knock whoever made the crash to the ground; to prevent their escape.
Bob Posted March 11, 2011 Author Posted March 11, 2011 I'd like to examine both bodies for any notes or signs of their allegiances. Will we ever find that out about our other dead people, Bob? The Congressman is not present. "General Stanley told me earlier that he would present you the allegiances of your fallen townspeople at the end of the day." Captain Garrison says. I would like to enter Dr Lloyds office and have a look around. Dammit! We are getting picked off like flies. I would also like to enter Dr Loyd's office. I would like to go back inside the hospital and see what caused the loud noise at the end of the last chapter. I'll follow Alan Simmons into the doc's office. I suppose I'll go with the men to the doctor's office. Well there goes our chance of identifying Laura. I'd like to enter the Doctors office, get a description, and knock whoever made the crash to the ground; to prevent their escape. The door to the doctor's office is opened slowly, Patrick stands ready to knock whoever made the crash to the ground. Finally, they burst inside the office. It's been completely trashed, there's medical files and papers scattered all over the floor. File cabinets are knocked to the ground, the doctor's expensive typewriter has been broken, and a few of the doctor's medical antiques have been destroyed as well. The window in Doctor Lloyd's office is wide open, someone has already come and gone. "What a mess." Director Hoffman says.
iamded Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Type-writer! It's a tragedy to see such a fine piece of equipment destroyed... Too bad we can't ask the doctor if he notices anything important missing... I would like to peer out the window and see if I can catch sight of anyone or anything suspicious, and also check for footprints out there.
Peanuts Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I'd like to start tidying the office and put things back on the places where they most propably belonged to. Then I'd like to know which things I can't collocate to their former places.
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I'd like to examine any papers on the floor to determine what the intruder was looking for and to see if any information about Laura is present. I'd also like to have a word with Delores.
CMP Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I'd like to question what the hell the rug next to the Judge is doing there. Damn! Another 2 dead...and worse, a medical officer and a judge. This is turning to madness.
Admiral Ron Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I would like to help look through papers to find anything that can help us
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I would now like to talk with the mayor.

Too bad we can't ask the doctor if he notices anything important missing... I would like to peer out the window and see if I can catch sight of anyone or anything suspicious, and also check for footprints out there. There's fresh footprints in the mud, but nobody is out there. I'd like to start tidying the office and put things back on the places where they most propably belonged to. Then I'd like to know which things I can't collocate to their former places. Krista starts cleaning up the office. She starts to put cabinets back, and things where they were. She stacks up all the papers on the floor, and neatly places them on the desk. Eventually, with the help of others, she finishes her cleanup job. She cannot find the place of a medical book. I would like to help look through papers to find anything that can help us I'd like to examine any papers on the floor to determine what the intruder was looking for and to see if any information about Laura is present. I'd also like to have a word with Delores. James goes through the papers which Krista stacked on the desk. There's medical records on the townspeople, dating back to 1893, when Doctor Lloyd's father, Peter Lloyd, started the practice. Eventually, James comes upon a file marked "Laura Jefferson" It doesn't have any notable marks, but it does have in big red letters "Deceased" at the top. James then has a word with Dolores, and then Mayor Bradford. "It's Dolores! Not Delores!" an angry voice yells from the sky.
Fugazi Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 There's fresh footprints in the mud, but nobody is out there. I would like to measure the size of the footprints, then check if anybody present has mud on their shoes and similar footprints.
Peanuts Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I'd also like to know if the window was able to be easily opened from outside, and if not, if it has any marks of a violent access.
Bob Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 I would like to measure the size of the footprints, then check if anybody present has mud on their shoes and similar footprints. Farmer Alan pulls out his handy ruler, which he uses to measure vegetables at the farm, and notes the size of the footprints are about a size 10 shoe. Nobody present has mud on their shoes. I'd also like to know if the window was able to be easily opened from outside, and if not, if it has any marks of a violent access. The window could be opened from the outside, but it wasn't. The window is opened outwards, meaning the person left from inside. Had the person gone in from the outside, the windows would be pointing inwards. Entry to the office was achieved via the door, as that is the only way in other than the window.
iamded Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I say we follow those footprints! Anyone disagree?
Captain Genaro Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I would like to see how the typewriter was destroyed. Did someone hit it with something or throw it on the ground? Next, I would like to follow the footprints.

Is there anything peculiar about that book? What's the title?
