robvos Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Hello all We all know the RC motor drives not that nice as a PF motor. For some models it`s easier or nicer to use the RC base instead of the new battery box and receiver. And you have the AA batteries. Has anyone tried the new PF motor with the RC base? is this better or the same. Rob Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I have but it didn't really make a difference. You should try it it may work differently for you. Quote

Toastie Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 We all know the RC motor drives not that nice as a PF motor. Do we really know that? There are quite a number of folks not noting any "exciting differences". Has anyone tried the new PF motor with the RC base? Yeap, works like a charm but the rather stiff PF cable is a pain. BTW the 9V motor works as a charm as well on the RC base. All the best Thorsten Quote
AndyC Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Do we really know that? There are quite a number of folks not noting any "exciting differences". You'll probably only notice on longer trains or inclined track, those things that start to cause issues for the RC motor. Or just general overall runtime on a single set of batteries, as the PF train motor is supposedly more efficient. Quote

Makes absolutely sense and is in full accord with Philo's data. All the best, Thorsten Quote
JopieK Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 It's simple and yet elegant your solution with the wheels of the hand truck!!! That is nice indeed to cut a rigid hose. That is also an option for more purists (I'm not amongst them but try to be as pure as comfortable). Ah so you live in Lombard. I have been in Süd-Tirol for some years for skiing (Val Gardena). Quote
