DLuders Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) Some time ago, Conchas had this TechnicBRICKS post that discussed the Lego Technic 8448 "Super Street Sensation" set's four alternate models. These are not the two models that came with the original set -- we're talking about 4 ADDITIONAL MODELS. Alas, Brickshelf does not host PDF building instructions anymore. I have offered to e-mail the PDF Building Instructions on this Eurobricks post, and about 10 AFOLs have done so. For those that want a direct link to these same files, I have uploaded them onto MegaUpload SkyDrive. Click on the hyperlinks below to download them. These files have been "lost in cyberspace" before, so get them while you can! They are hard to find nowadays. Alternate 1, "Concept Car" (3 MB PDF Building Instructions) Alternate 2, "Racer" (3 MB PDF Building Instructions) Alternate 3, "Hot Rod" (3.3 MB PDF Building Instructions) Alternate 4, "Buggy" (3.4 MB PDF Building Instructions) Edited February 20, 2012 by DLuders Quote
Shawn Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Can you check the concept car, it does not appear to be available anymore. Can you check the concept car, it does not appear to be available anymore. Sorry, I just went back and it was on the site. I must have done something wrong. Quote
paanjang16 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Thanks for showing the link for the the alternate instructions for the Racer, Concept car, Hot rod and Buggy again. I downloaded the instructions last time when it appeared in the 8448 review thread by Starstreak. The pdfs only show the cosmetics of the car. The mechanism such as the pop-up engine cover of the racer is in the 8448 instruction booklet. I built the Racer model last year. Not sure if it is as per the pdfs as some parts need a wild guess. Below are some pictures of it. The rear engine cover can be opened by pushing against the spring. Side by side comparison with 8880. Will want to try the other alternate models soon. Quote
Meatman Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 (edited) I always thought the 4 alternate body models were kind of ugly. Edited March 30, 2011 by Meatman Quote
