Tkytko Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 On a tip from a local, and with a hastily copied map, Professor Archibald Hale and his companions set off down the Nile on his small steamboat the ML Scarlet Ibis. After an uneventful two days of travel upriver they finally arrived. Off in the distance the professor could see an abandoned temple, just as the map showed. As they got closer, however, they realized they weren't the only ones in the river, and the local denizens of these ruins were none to happy at their uninvited visitors! The temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god. It's in a state of disrepair. A crocodile has found a comfortable spot inside the reflection pool. Bits of the floor have broken. Close up of the statue of Sobek, holding an ankh and a was scepter. Guarded by some mummies. The ML Scarlet Ibis. Everyone seems focused on the temple, but Helena seems worried! What's that behind them? A mummy riding a living statue of Petsuchos is bearing down on them! I'd be worried too. Glad I could finish this on time, a bunch of stuff came up and I almost didn't make it. More, bigger pictures on my flickr. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Very good entry Tkytko, I love the simple but quite unique build of this river temple, especially with the reflection pool and the Sobek statue details inside. The boat and river crocodile monster are well done too. Good luck in the contest! Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 The guardians of the temple are really cool! Gee that is a really nice boat. Keep croc-ing! Quote
