Magnificent Knight Contest

Here Ye, Here Ye! The following nine knights have joined the contest to see who is the most magnificent knight in the Eurobricks Kingdom. These mighty warriors protect their orders with bravery, valiance, and skill in protecting the orders that they represent. Let no man, woman, or beast say that these knights lack courage or confidence in that they are all triumphant as they stand before you today.

Today's contest will be unique in that all citizens of the Kingdom of Eurobricks may vote for their most favorite knight in three categories of skill. These three categories include:

Most Creative Design: creative knights do not resemble minifigs of traditional Classic Lego or Knights Kingdom designs. These knights exhibit new weapons, torsos from different themes, and pieces much different from traditional Lego models. They are original.

Most Fearsome Appearance: fearsome knights have a strong and menacing appearance. They appear strong, scary, and/or intimidating.

Most Magnificent Knight: the top honor among the Eurobricks Knight Contest. A magnificent knight is of original design, looks fierce and brave, and is your favorite of all knights. Careful consideration should be placed when voting for Most Magnificent Knight.

He/she couldn't have submited, that moc uses loads of customized peices.

Most Creative Design: KhoRne. More like a barbarian of some sort rather than a knight. I like it.

Most Fearsome Appearance: 007. The black armour, the Batman cape, the Vladek visor and the the three headed dog as mount overall make a very creepy entry.

Most Magnificent Knight: It was a struggle between Xwingyoda's and Starwars4J's entries, but I went with the second one at the end. Sure, Xwingyoda's knight has a mount and awesome gold elements, but Starwars4J's knight has a cape, Euro armour and an helmet with visor.

My votes were as follows:

Most Creative: Khorne. For his use of torso, viking shield, and great face. Optimus's knight was very original as well.

Mose Fearsome: Sir Dillion. I love the mystery that surounds a black knight on a black steed. I esp. like the German "pig helmet" which is probably my favorite of the helmets depicted. The katana adds a nice touch as well. Looks very fearce.

Most Magnificent: This was a toss up for me between Xwingyoda and Berry's classic knight. I really like the classic look of Berry's knight and the use of the piece that covers the horse. If there was a category for most traditional, Berry's would have taken it. But the use of the gold helmet and sword by Yoda's knight combined with the red mini-fig exhibits a regal knight deserving of magnificence. My vote goes to Yoda for most magnificent.

Honorable mentions: 007 (for all black armor and the three-headed canine) and Starwars4J (for a nice axe and use of the grey pig helmet.

Very impressive and unique. It does look like it has a few custom pieces though.

That MOCer is NickGreat over at MCN. That's his white knight, in contrast to his red knight. They both use the face of the Green Goblin mask added on to the armor/helmet. I like his white knight, but personally his Red knight is my favorite *wub*

That's an awesome MOC. I love the Green Goblin mask in red and the polearm and morning star. Very nice weaponry.

yeah, you're right. i didnt see the red knight before. that is an awesome depiction of a real samurai. great use of the mask. samurai helmets actually included masks that look like that. too bad it had to be customized.

Most creative: KhoRne. I really like the look of his barbaric knight, and that face is perfect.

Most fearsome: A toss up between 007 and Sir Dillon. I prefer the look of Sir Dillon

I liked the red samurai so much I made my own *sweet*

here's how I did it

first be willing to sacrafice a green goblin mask. I used a box knive, a lot of patience, and an extrenely careful hand to get the lines by etching over and over again. I keep ecthing until I get through the plastic. Then filed the cut edge to even things out.

The hard part is over *sweet*

For coloring both the green mask and dark grey armor I just used a red "sharpie" marker.

the color matches almost exactly to Lego's dark red.

Then finaly I stuck a bit of polymer clay the the minifig head and attached the mask.

I don't normaly like mutalating Lego, :'-) ,but this was too awesome to pass up!

Your'e right, it is too far off topic, but I didn't feel it was worth it's own thread.

Since is it was already straying way off, I went with the flow.

Hey Brickster, I really like the way you did the poll, with the different parts. I didn't know you could do that.

Anyway, for the most creative design, I voted for Optimus-Convoy. I really like the way he used that hair, that huge sword, and the colors. The back story was also a nice touch. The only thing I don't really like is the different color arms, but they're not that noticeble.

For the most fearsome, I voted for myself, shame on me, I know. But I actually thought that mine was the most fearsome, I wasn't just voting for me because it's mine.

For the most magnificent, I wasn't sure whether to vote for Xwingyoda, or Starwars4j. I ended up going with Yoda. There's just something about the colors that I like, and the helmet and chain and all just add to the whole look.

Thanks to Brickster for doing this, it was fun! And thanks to all who voted for me! I know the contest isn't over yet, but I'll be away the day it ends, so I'm doing this now. :-)

most creative design: I voted for Khorne !! I just love his MF and I think it suits that contest perfectly !!

most fearsome: I voted for Dillon !! His knight looks really menacing and I really love the angle he took his pic !! It ads to the fearsome look of it !!

most magnificent: well I voted for myself there (hey I needed to vote for me somwhere hehe) !! I think my knight symbolises the prestige of an Empire !! Need I say more :-P
