Nakara Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 When I got called up by some of my troops for a “UFO”, I knew that it had come, like a mailed package sitting on my doorstep. Proof that I wasn't a crackpot conspiracist, proof to all the investors that my company had purpose. The metallic remains stopped smoking and whoever the pilot was he certainly had suffered injuries elsewhere for nearly half his body was prosthetics. His brain was large, larger than any I have seen before, and the saucer was in relatively good condition. It was all good until the pesky media showed up, so I had my mercenaries swat the gnats away and destroy the evidence, just to ensure that I would be the first one to tell the public about this. My eyes feasted upon the sight before me, the proof that I had been waiting for... A Flying Saucer form an advanced alien civilization had crashed, proof of my genius, but the herald of our downfall... Basically, I was just trying out my terrain skills because I wanted to try to half-bury an object into the ground and also because I wanted to make some sort of “first contact” kind of thing. Not really an MOC nor worthy of a topic, but I couldn’t find an appropriate thread to hijack so it gets its own thread. This was inspired by a video they used to have on the Alien Conquest page of the reporter with the crashed saucer, but it got taken down and replaced by the one with the alien commander in it. Quote

Loving these pictures. Giving some backstory to the scientist is an excellent twist and you've captured the "first encounter" feel perfectly. I really want to do a scene like this and you're really not helping! Hoping to pick up the Grand Emporium, Fire Brigade, etc and have the saucer half sticking out of the building after having crashed into it. The Alien Conquest theme is fantastic. Now I'll need to get my hands on the hazmat figures as well! Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I love the work you have done! The model looks so much like what would really happen. But maybe a few more news reporters. Quote
Nakara Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Thanks for all the nice comments! This certainly encourages me to post more MOCs in the future. @Fuzzylegobricks: The number of reporters wasn't the issue, but rather the amount of cameras and decent cameramen I could find at the moment. Quote
L-space Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Great background story. And nice creation too. But why unveil the pictures 5 years late. Or was this a government conspiracy by the MIB? Quote
Delta62 Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Very cool and I love the story. Hope there is more to it. Quote
Legostein Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Hello! A nice set layout which represents a valuable additon to the new Space theme line. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
sharky Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Great work. I love how you are using the hazmat guys. When I saw the Alien Conquest theme I knew I had to get more hazmat guys to go along with it. One thing I might suggest is to grab some of the Toy Story green army men with jeep kits. I will swap heads, hands and weapons and replace the ADU with traditional army guys. However, I may use the ADU guys as the super secret team that handles UFO events. The design of the alien ships really has that retro feel and I think it's really neat. Quote
