ziljin Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 (edited) Something I whipped up with my 3 coies of the Escape from Dragon's Prison. I bought them to get Dragon Knight Armored Horses. For the rest of the pictures (mute if you don't want to hear my voice) watch the video. I didn't take any pictures of the interior because it is empty. Edited June 7, 2011 by Rufus Indexed Quote

You been reading my mind? I haven't shared my 3 Dragon Prisons creation yet. (I got 4, kept 1 original & built something with the other 3.) Were there many pieces left over? Quote
ziljin Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 You been reading my mind? I haven't shared my 3 Dragon Prisons creation yet. (I got 4, kept 1 original & built something with the other 3.) Were there many pieces left over? The only piece I had in abundance was the 1x2 brown reverse slope. There was the third pair of gates, a handful of small pieces like cheese slopes and the siege weapon pieces. I even made use of the technic pieces which I normally do not use. I used them to connect the green plates together. I can't wait to see your Dragon Prisons creation. Quote
MCNwakeboard Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 That is a very nice use of the three sets. I actually think this set is a good value because it comes with some great minifigures and useful pieces. I have combined two of them to make a city gate. Sorry if this is your second time viewing this as I posted it as a reply in my review of the set. flickr Quote
ziljin Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 That city gate looks awesome MCNwakeboard. Glad you liked it castlestrike666. Quote
Hoboman Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Wonderful. You have inspired me to buy a couple more. of course my budget hates you though. Thanks for showing this to us. Quote
Artanis I Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 All pieces (none left over) used from 3x 7187 set "Escape From Dragon Prison" + additional pieces: 2 dragon gargoyles, 2 flames & 3 1x2 triple slope "toblerones" Build is restricted by lack of plates, lack of bricks longer than 2 studs, surplus of column bricks, surplus of small slope (cheese wedge). It's pretty messy, but has all 4 walls. Outer gates lead to a door, leads to communal cell with 2 doors. Plenty of defence capability at front & back. 3 catapults above cell. High security prison (standalone) Back of prison... can these bars be separated for a rear escape? Too bad if so, straight into a spiky pit* *spiky pit sold separately 3 levels of gate security... not so easy to escape when other prisoners are being brought in/out: Battering ram of sorts: Quote
ziljin Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 That looks awesome Artanis. Your creation looks great despite all those limitations you listed. And the super siege weapon looks like a tank lol. Quote

ziljin Posted July 15, 2011 Author Posted July 15, 2011 LIKE! Looks like everyone was thinking of the same thing when we see this set!! Yep. This set is a great way to stock up on Dragon Knight Fortress pieces and a nice army builder too. They should make more sets like this. It's a nice combination of pieces, and troops. The horse barding really sweetened the deal too. Quote
Titan Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 You guys have some really nice builds with this set! Lego40k, do you have any more pics other than what's in the video? I would love to see some bigger pics :) Quote

Big Cam Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Both are fantastic creations. I've been out of the Castle/Historic scene for a long time. I see some of my old favorite elements are still in use, and I simply adore those new fancy cage doors. Nice work both of you! Quote
Tria Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Great use of this set! This was the first set I bought from this line, mostly for the dragon knight and its horse... now I am going to buy more of them for the prison fortress! Quote
