Legostein Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Hello everybody! Today I'd like to share something again in the "Licensed Forum". It's the infamous trigonal prismatic prison tower of Azkaban (click here for a reference image) which can shortly be seen in the movie "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". The tricky thing about this building is it's trigonal shape with an inner court that is trigonal as well. In the end I used three big and three small old gray facet bricks for each layer. Hinge plates hold everything together. That's it for now. Thank you for your time and interest. See you around, ~ Chris Quote
Toadtorrent Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Very clever use of the corner and bracket pieces to create the triangle. Quote
Adrian86 Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 That´s a clever creation! I particularly like how you made the water, simply stunning. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Very nice angling of the three sides of the structure, especially with the effective use of the hinge plates. The gaps between the layers of the trigonal bricks really gives an unexpected but pleasant "window-type" detailing. Excellent work once again Chris! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Man, how do you do it.....just AWESOME again from the genius of micros and minis. Brick On 'Legostein' ! Quote
The Flying Dutchman Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Very nicely done! And you've used a nice technic worth to remember in future building. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Legostein Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 Thank you everyone! I am glad you like the build and appreciate the uncommon techniques. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
