exxtrooper Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) Made around June but never got around to take a proper picture. The Skulls on his shoulders are remains of his previous opponents. Though mostly none of the Bionicle masks fit well in the hero factory universe, I thought this lime green Kanohi Matau was pretty fitting for this occasion. Kardos was made to fit in the new Jungle theme from the Hero Factory series, I thought the mask looked kinda like a "totem" face, adding to the whole jungle theme, the random spikes also did a good job. Sadly I do not have a extended body frame in black as the only one available before the second wave is orange from the Fire Lord set, which is such a horrible set. Though the body does match the color of his eyes, but that's pretty much it. Back view. Kardos XL next to a normal sized Hero, he's quite tall, he stands 26 cm from his feet to his head which is more than I expected. Thanks for stopping by, comments appreciated. VBBN Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 See lego now that's the proper way of making upper thighs. Looks good to me, I do like the piraka skulls with horns, they add to the jungle theme he has, though it does make him more villanous than heroic(Not that it is a bad thing in my opinion) My only criticism is the arms/hands. The arms seem a bit odd, maybe wider shoulders somehow? And the hands, I think would be better with claws. Not huge claws, but not the standard blcoky hand piece. The mask looks very nice, and honestly looks perfect for a "totem" theme. Quote
Cap'n Kopaka Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 (edited) I really love the legs you have here <3 Overall a pretty solid build, looks like a Mecha and not like a Lego action figure. Although the mask coulda fooled me into thinking he was a Matoran-Nui o: And by the way, nice use of the Piraka heads. I love seeing them utilized in creative ways. toatyger Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Cool! I wish more people would post more mocs useing both hero-factory and bionicle pieces. Quote
coolkwins Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 See lego now that's the proper way of making upper thighs. If they used these thighs, Lego's sets would have been 1000x better. Quote
Aanchir Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 If they used these thighs, Lego's sets would have been 1000x better. I dunno, I think these thighs are awfully Technic-looking, in that they feel like a bunch of beams and not like a solid upper leg. They're gappy from various angles, much like those of Fire Lord or Black Phantom, and not particularly streamlined. This isn't to say these thighs aren't good for this model, or that the thighs on typical Hero Factory titan sets are any better, but there are better solutions that I'm certain TLG can arrive at eventually.
