By these sets from China? I'm pretty sure this is the company that got sued by lego, and I'm sure you all can see why. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has been tempted to buy any of these lego knockoffs, and if they are actually worth it.

yes, i will do it if you do! lol... haha... but anyway, i dont think lego has caught up to this company yet. I believe this one is in Hong Kong, and doesnt fall completely under chinese jurisdiction... China recently shut down Coko bricks (which i would love to find one of those pirate ships!)

I remember someone saying the bricks were kind of cheep from these fake pirate sets... but i cant remember... for 18 dollars american it might be worth buying the small set... to see what it is like... that one merchant looking fig is kind of cool

Though, i havent seen one on ebay for a while, and i dont know if you can buy direct off their site... also i am wary of private feedback people...

The ol' suicide pact eh? I was tempted to get the Imperial outpost knockoff, but I bought a real Lego one, so thats not going to happen now. I was looking at the Skull Island one, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

I would buy one off an eBay auction, but from a private site, no way. Sure, its only $14.00 US plus shipping, but I'd rather have that not go missing, and spend it on actual lego, beer, food, or possibly rent :-)

I saw a site that had a ton of Coko bricks listed, but when I clicked to buy it, the site came up "under construction" or some such nonsense. Same as buyin bestlock off the net, just can't seem to do it.

If I do decide to take the plunge and try one of these sets, I'll let the board know, espically you SkaForHire, so you can hold up your end of the bargain. ;-)

i totally agree. would like to see a safer way to buy. any knock off in fact.. lol other then megablocks... their crap has gotten to the point where it is not even compatible anymore. though i do like their rockish 2x4 pieces, makes good earth works.... oh well. The things we will do to supplement our pirates....

I was tempted once but I was reluctant to purchase from south east Asia due to the postage cost. Apparently the quality is interrior that of authentic LEGO so DON'T GO THERE!!! Well buy from those sellers. There's a thread floating around here somewhere where we've discussed this before and some of the posters reported having bought these frauds in the past, so do a search for that one if you're interested.

If this set would be very cheap I reallywould be tempted. Look at it, you could get a BROWN Minifig Hat Rag, brown western rifles, chrome cutlasses and a yellow parrot with printing! Furthermore a 2x2 Tile with a unique treasure map printing, a chrome pirate gun and a TransNeonGreen goblet! It also seems that their soldier hats vary slightly from the original ones.

Also the gold coins seem to vary slightly in color what would give some variety to your gold treasure which is always good!

Maybe I should try it... ;-)

oh and it's funny that their knights doesn't wear helmets but western hats! ;-)

THIS set features some more cool accessories, a bicorner hat with a different printing, TransLightBlue cups, red spears and a differnt Admiral torso printing. (plus some of the things mentioned above)

Here we can get a completely new designed whip!

In this set we see very happy family with a colorful house, a car and a guy with a gun!

OMG.... If you didn't told me it isn't real lego, I would probarly believe it was, the only visible differences are some colours, minifigs, weapons, and no LEGO on top of the studs.... I would NEVER buy a copy-product agains since those bloody bestlock low quality ships! *n*

This is hilarious : the perfect family composed by one child, two parents + a gun for the son to shoot at birds in the street.

Still I'm tempted by the pirate sets, mainly for accessories... I'll think about it seriously this week

I bought one of those sets a while ago. Like said, the quality is much worse then Lego (as to be expected). But, just as a warning to people going for the accessories, in the set I got, the minifigs and the colors didn't match the pictures. It was rather disapointing.

I don't know if that's changed by now, but you may end up getting different accessories then the ones you want.

I did buy one of these sets to see what it was like...And let me tell you, do not buy these! Everything is so cheap (Plastic wise) And the colors look off, its really rather bad. The bricks barely snap together well.

LMAO that last one is great.... " look ma, a bird! I think i will shoot it!" i wonder if that happens in HK alot... must be harsh life for birds there...

Ya, I bought castle set on ebay awhile back because I was curious. As said before the quality sucked and I was disappointed in the minifigs because they aren't quite the right colors and look cheap. I did have a red solidier in the set (castle weird) but his uniform sticker was printed upside down...pretty funny. I would stay away, the accessories just aren't worth it.

I've got a few small sets from old times... They were sold in some shops, and in some marketplaces in my country. I wouldn't buy any of them now, but I was more tolerant in the past ;-) I can post some pictures comparing the Lego pieces with the rip-offs. Some of the shades are slighlty different - the light gray for example. If you are not a Lego extremist you can mix them with Lego light gray to avoid the big gray wall effect and make your gray buildings look more realistic.

hmm... I actually own two of the military sets from this brand, which I bought on a vacation in the Cezch Republic a few years ago.

The two sets that I bought are this one and this one.

I disagree with those of you who say that the quality is extremely bad, because I have'nt hat any quality problems with my two sets this far. Although I got to agree that the quality is'nt as good as real Lego, but the accessories are great, especially the m16 rifles are super.

BTW the message might seem very positive about this copy brand, but I do in no way prefer these over real Lego!!
