Orejon8 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 (edited) The Harry Potter theme has a great potential. I have always thought that Lego would be truly clever if, instead of making HP sets only focused on Lego HP collectors, they made sets oriented to more themes at the same time. For instance, a Dursley's Home which is also a Creator set, a Hogwarts Express with the quality of other Lego trains, and ... 12 Grimmauld Place (Modular Style) Set Title: 12 Grimmauld Place Set #: 10223 Theme: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix / Modular Buildings Pieces: 1932. MSC94 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Really lovely build. The amount of detail you've managed to include in there is great and it was nice to look at your 'guided tour' of the place! Quote
Masked Builder Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Very nice! I could see this being a set but I'm not sure what pieces would be printed over stickers. Still I would probably buy this from LEGO! Quote
drevim Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Looks well thought out, and thanks for sharing the tour. I would suggest one change, we need a Kreachers minifig. He was the most consistent part of No. 12. Quote

TheLegoDr Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Definitely need Kreacher. I really like this set-up. I love all the details on the inside. With that said, I doubt this would ever come to fruition due to that much detail. Plus, 2000 pieces for $100 might be out of reach. But then again, I don't know a lot about TLG overall since I've been out of the game so long. Keep up the good MOCs, digital or otherwise. Quote

You must take into account that, from those 2000 pieces, 540 are Dark Brown 1x2 Bricks, that is, a 25%. Most of the pieces are common and little. Also, to decide the price, i used both HP and Modular Houses prices. The question is: wouldn't it be cool if this set, or something similar, smaller and cheaper, becomes a real set? Quote
