Lord Thrawn Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I'm not sure the first one is English. Or the proper Bionicle name. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 A good list, if a little confusing for a guy who has no idea what the names mean yet. ;-) Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 You have the same knowledge as most people. Quote
prateek Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 uuhhh... yyeah... those are the wierdest names ever :-/ Quote
optimus-convoy Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Wow... weird names... especially the first one. Zane Posted August 14, 2006 Author Posted August 14, 2006 I ordered them from lowest price to the highest...so that's a collectable, not a titan. -Tilius- Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 I suspect it's like the Zamor's we had trouble decoding last year. We've got to find out if this small collectible is in german... Quote
rew12 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Yeah... Great find, but... VERY weird names, one german 8- Quote
Kahgarak Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Using Mijnwoordenboek.nl,i was able to translate Werfer (from Polypenwerfer). Polypen means urethral polyp. Werfer means launcher. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Great, another launcher. No mask packs... Quote
rew12 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 >:-( Too bad... They could release sets with Zamor Spheres instead of creating new things... Great, another launcher. No mask packs... I agree with you... I hope there will be any masks in sets for next years. :-| EDIT: 50 posts at last! Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Using Mijnwoordenboek.nl,i was able to translate Werfer (from Polypenwerfer).Polypen means urethral polyp. Werfer means launcher. Oh god that's freaking hilarious. Bionicle 2007's new gimmick... the URETHRAL POLYP LAUNCHER. God damn... lol Quote
KMOI Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Oh god that's freaking hilarious.Bionicle 2007's new gimmick... the URETHRAL POLYP LAUNCHER. God damn... lol Makes for quite the storyline, I say. Zamor launchers are NOTHING compared to these new heroes/villians who are packing birth irregularity launchers. (Joking! Of course I'm joking.) Anyhoo, I really hope these aren't Toa, because Bionicle sure is filling up the Toa part of the bios section. They make great villian names, so here's to hoping that they don't pull the ol' "Turn less significant secondary character into toa" plot trick again! Real shame about the masks though. :( Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Well, they last released the Toa Inika, so I'm guessing the new guys might be enemies first. 8918 Carapar I also wonder if that's a pun on the word "carapace", like maybe they have shells, or something else Bohrok-ey. Quote
Kahgarak Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Maybe the new enemies are, like, super smart crabs? It makes sense, with the 2007 location being the underwater area of Voya Nui. Quote
Zane Posted August 16, 2006 Author Posted August 16, 2006 I was hoping for a set of large eel/dragon enemies.... -Tilius- Quote
Hobbes Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 "Polypen" is German and the plural of "Polyp". It's either "adenoids" (medical term, don't think that's the appropriate one here ;-)) or "octopuses/octopi". "Werfer" is "thrower" or "launcher", as has been said. I always knew Bionuckle was a weird line.... :-P ;-) Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 So we might be looking at octopus throwers lol. Quote
vahkimetru Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Octupus Throwers! I'm all for it! *sweet* Lego had best have an expenation for this wonderful idea. I want to know what genius created this! Quote
Clone comander Nodra 999 Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 i guess we can be expecting another dumb visorak like body piece but with bohrok claws. too bad, the piraka were great but now we get another round of short shrimpy (craby?) looking bad guys. Octo launchers, maybee their like zamor launchers bu they launch those octopuses from aquazone. Could this theme be tying into aquaraiders? Maybee the toa ignika get help form them lol Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 (edited) First pic of the new enemy. Not very aquatic... more buggy. Nice teeth and eye parts, but the body is stupid-simple and we see those unanimously-hated Piraka spines returning. Ah, I do see a pinch-launcher though. So yay that there's more projectiles instead of crappy flying discs or rubber slugs or something. I just hope that the bare-bones construction of this means that Lego's diverted their resources to making something later on as glorious as the Inika sets are. Kahgarak Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 That thing looks awesome. Are his small pincers Viking horns? Also, his head looks kind of slimey.Must be the shinyness. :-P Quote
Dino_Bot Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 It has a spine... I will ONLY buy him and his gang if they make good combiners. Quote
