Posted August 14, 200618 yr Hello, Good People of EuroBricks! Let me introduce myself: My name is Victor. You can call me UA, Unknown, Artist, Unknown Artist or simply Victor. My age is insignificantly small compared to the age of the universe, and I live in a place far, far away from the center of civilization. Apart from being a huge Star Wars and Lego fan, I like playing guitar, tennis, soccer, working out, listening to music, occasionally acting, of course, modifying my PC. Apart from the SW, I like watching movies like Lord of the Rings, Troy, I Robot, Enemy of the State, Interview witha Vampire, Once Upon a Time in Mexico and, of course Tomb Raider. I have been in the hobby for a long time now, but only started customizing minifigs two years or so ago - you can check out my customizations here. Well, let me also thank DD - Ben - BlindBricks for reminding me for how long I wanted to join your site... ;) I hope we'll all have some great time!
August 14, 200618 yr Welcome to EB Victor ;-) So its combo: Ben and you joining :-D :-P !! I's sure you'll have a blast with us (G its hard to find new stuff to say each time lool) *yoda*
August 14, 200618 yr Hey Victor, welcome! I've been a big fan of your customs for a while now, your sith robes are some of my favorites. :-) BTW, congrats on being our 900 member. X-D
August 14, 200618 yr Welcome to our small site... Hope you enjoy the stay *sweet* (and yes Yoda its hard he he)
August 14, 200618 yr Author I appreciate you welcoming me, guys! Yoda: Thanks! If not for Ben, it would have taken a lot of time for me to register - I have been visiting your site from time to time, but the minifig contest DD told me about really intrigued me. Though I may not be able to participate (I'm moving to a new apartment, so it will be a little trcky to finishsomething decent in time), I've got a few ideas. ;) Sir Dillon: Thank you! I am working on a personal website (Unknown Artist Studio), where you will be able to learn more about my customs - even buy them at the shop - I hope it will be more interactive than my good old B-Shelf. ;) I'd be very happy if you visited it once it's finished. Wow! I didn't notice I was No:900! 8) That's the first time I got such a round number... Double T: I'm really happy I've finally signed up! Now I can feel that I live in Europe. ;)
August 14, 200618 yr First DD, now you. Wow, EB is certainly growing in Customizers. It touches my heart :'-) It's nice to see another familiar face. babyjawa...
August 15, 200618 yr I visit MCN a lot, though I feel rather outclassed there, so I usually don't have much to contribute. I have a great respect for customizers, though I lack the skill to do so myself ;-) It's fantastic to see you here, I almost did a doubletake when I saw. Welcome to EB, I'm sure you'll find a nice, small community a nice change of pace :-P
August 15, 200618 yr Hehe, I knew I could always persuade you :) ;-) Glad to see you here, always god to have some more Europeans I say! I am interested to see your hero :) BB
August 15, 200618 yr BTW, congrats on being our 900 member. We have 678 registered members, how could he be the 900 member?? *wacko*
August 15, 200618 yr BTW, congrats on being our 900 member. We have 678 registered members, how could he be the 900 member?? *wacko* Becuase Jipay delete, I mean suppressed all the accounts that had 0 posts. Welsome Mr. UA, I've seen you stuff on brickshelf before and it's amazing, what do you make your lightsabers out of?
August 15, 200618 yr Welcome to EB Unknown Artist. Hope you'll have a good time here on the boards. I'm loving your name by the way. It reminds me of the frustration that swells up in me when a radio DJ doesn't annouce the artist of the great song just played X-D .
August 15, 200618 yr Welcome to EB, Victor :-P . I watch your folder a lot, there is some amazing stuff in there 8-
August 15, 200618 yr I've always admired your custom work, and I especially love your vibroblades. They're excellent. Yet again, a new member from MCN joins us on Eurobricks. Welcome aboard Victor! :-)
August 15, 200618 yr oo7 UA makes his lightsaber out of the thing around the rubber on pencils. But I am sure the man himslef can tell you much more :)
August 16, 200618 yr Welcome! Now that you've joined you have to sell us your customizations at a 75 % discount. But you knew that before you joined, didn't you? :-P Enjoy your stay, UA :-) PS: How's that for a different welcome, master yoda? >:-)
August 18, 200618 yr Author Hobbes: Oh my! That's a relief, man! I thought I had to give them away for free! X-D Lord Thrawn: Thanks! Glad you liked them! Those vibroswords were a pretty time-consuming project, but if you've played KotOR, you know the feeling when you just need one for your figs... I simply couldn't resist. *sweet* KhoRne: It's a pleasure to know that someone's actually watching my folder, not waits untill it's 'bumped up'. Wish more B-Shelfers were like you... :-) Joe: Well, in times like this I grab a pen and start writing down the lyrics and later google-search them. Really helps. As for the name - thanks! An archaic Windows Media Player at a friend's house gave me the idea - I used to be known as the 'Great Pretender', but I like 'UA' somewhat better. ;-) oo7: Well, Ben actually summed it up. There's no real trick - just find a suitable old pencil and cut the bracket holding the eraser into two parts - one of them being approximately 1.5 cm long. Simply bend it and here you go - a nice replacement for the official TLC ligtsaber. ;-) Mr Tiber: Sorry for disappointing you, really. I didn't choose the number, and there was no conspiracy theory. I just got lucky, I guess. :-D 4J: Ah, you're too modest! Customizing isn't hard at all - you should really try it one day. Just don't forget to send me a link! Ben: You call -this- Europe, eh? I'll let the prime minister know - he'll be VERY happy. ;-) BJ: [in a misterious voice, with Yodaish accent] The custom side clouds everything. Impossible to see, this forum is... [/Yodaish] *yoda*
