I Scream Clone Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 The Ticonderoga is a dreadnought class ship from Vexillum industries. Able to transport troops to aid in colonizing distant planets, the Ticonderoga can set down for a speedy deployment of both manpower and inventory. Featuring 6 Debroodium engines, the Ticonderoga is able to achieve hyperspace potential rapidly with minimal recharge time of 20 minutes, in addition to jump gate access along the hyperspace routes. Special thanks goes to Tyler and Nannan for their help when it came to building my first ship. I appreciate it guys! Bonus pictures of the trip to Brick Expo in Canberra, Australia. My first Aussie event! Big thanks to Tazmaniac, Rufus, Pandora, Stash2sixx and Copmike for helping out with the display as well, you guys are the best! Cheers. Loads more on my Flickr as well. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 'ISC', the name from Starship Troopers and the style of craft.....Earth Force from Babylon 5. AWESOME work and I miss out on this - curse distances, lack of money plus the flu ! Looks like everyone had a good time ! Brick On ! Quote
brickmack Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 (edited) Awesome detailing. I like all the bits at the front, though that blue axle-pin looks rather out of place. Perhaps a 2-long frictionless pin would look nicer? The exposed studs look nice also, though the yellow tiling looks a bit sporadicly placed. I love the design of those little "Wings" on the sides, the click hinges that aren't actually being used as hinges in the middle add a nice bit of detail there. Generally a good MOC though, quite hard to believe it's your first big ship. Also, this has inspired a few drawings that I might turn into MOCs when I get back to my collection. AussieJimbo Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Nice one, ISC. It was great to see your display at BrickExpo. That circulating ball machine was cool too. :classic: Quote
Pandora Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 ISC, the Ticonderoga is just stunning! A big, beautiful behemoth with such wonderful detailing, too. It's a lovely colour scheme with the hints of yellow here and there in addition to the blue and grey, and it's just so huge! I love the engines with the trans-light blue parts, and the fact that the whole ship is an unusual shape for a space-ship, but it still quite clearly is a spaceship. Just wonderful! The whole layout looks great, too, with loads to look at and lots of fun details! Quote
Rufus Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 WOW, ISC, the end result is a real beauty It's on the frontpage Quote
Masked Builder Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 This is one heck of an amazing MOC ISC! The shape is amazing, and the color is so fitting. I'm feeling inspired.... Quote
snefroe Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 that is a great moc! nice to see dark blue appaering in a big space ship as the main color Quote
marshal_banana Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Lovely! Outstanding work all around! Quote
Hollander Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 (edited) Very nice ship! A nice overall look and the color scheme is pretty nice too. I'm not sure about the blue axle pin either, but that's the only thing that I don't like I can find. Awesome job! Edited August 9, 2011 by Hollander Quote
Si-MOCs Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Nice shape. Great colours. AWESOME GREEBLING. I love it. Quote
peterab Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 It was really great to meet you and TazManiac. Now I hope we can coax you both down to Melbourne for Brickvention. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Excellent work, ISC. The color scheme works nicely, especially the trans-orange bridge, which sticks out just enough to draw the eye to it. Greebling is sweet, too. Quote
Dark_Alamez Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Man, it's the outstanding model! Wish to see it at real.. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 Thank you all. Looks like I overlooked a missing antennae off the front after I deboxed the Ticonderoga after Brick Expo She disassembles down to 6 pieces for easy transport. Not sure if I will have a crack at another ship in the future or not.... Quote
Gabe Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Wow, congrads on yr first ship (is it ship or SHIP? I'm not sure), she's a real beauty! The colour scheme is great and those engines sure look the business. ps. I saw this got blogged on the brother's brick too! Quote
le60head Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Great work! I find your ship very inspiring. Keep it up! Quote
Strand Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Loving the colour scheme and detailing! Reminds me a lot of the Halo Pillar of Autumn ship. Wish I could have gone down Brick Expo but... Canberra Quote
A-17 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 that is a really cool Moc if only Lego sci-fi sets were that good Quote
guy montag Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 It was great meeting you at Brick Expo. I think this is my favourite layout of the day. The ship, the bar(TazManiac's) and the club, the space sign. You've created your own space genre. The whole layout reminds me of the old PC games SPACE QUEST. I love those classic games. All you need is Roger Wilco and its complete. Well Done. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Another fantastic Sci-Fi creation ISC, the overall shape is very uniquely interesting and it's nice to see a rare predominantly dark blue-colored ship. Great work as always mate! Quote
