Legostein Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 (edited) Hello everybody! Today I'd like to share a new Creator Alternate Build with you. Among the newest creator sets is set 5764 - Rescue Robot (reference link). It contains 148 pieces and costs 14.99 EUR / 13.99 GBP / 16.99 USD. I struggled a long time to find something appropriate to build out of this brick assortment, but eventually a lovely coastside diorama had formed. The entire diorama uses 130 pieces. -------------------- Model #1: The Lighthouse Pieces: 44 Model Info: This was the first model built out of the set's pieces. Model #2: The Cutter Pieces: 65 Model Info: Many pieces were left, resulting in a compact fishing cutter. Model #3: The Submarine Pieces: 4 Model Info: Even the TEHCNIC parts were applied for something useful. Model #4: The Dragon Pieces: 17 Model Info: This cute dragon was made out of the leftover pieces. -------------------- Building instructions finally online! -------------------- With that I am done for now. Instructions available as soon as BrickShelf decides to update. Thanks for your time and interest! See you around, yours Christopher. Edited September 18, 2011 by Legostein Indexed! Quote
AndyC Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 That's cool, I had a play around with that set myself but couldn't come up with any really good alternatives. Your little coast scene is inspiring. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 What I really like about this alternative build is that you were still able to use the light brick in an effective way in that mini-light house. And that water dragon is cute! Very well done as always Chris! Quote
harakiri Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Totally cool idea. Have this set and since I have it I am thinking about a MOC with its parts (thats not a robot). Quote
Rufus Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Thanks Chris for this super imaginitive CREATOR Alternative! Love the submarine! Quote
Legostein Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 Hello, and thank you for your nice comments! It was really a lot of fun to build this little diorama. I tried to use as many pieces as possible to create a versatile diorama. Cheers, ~ Chris Quote
