Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted September 2, 2006 Eurobricks Emperor Posted September 2, 2006 The making of a new lego pope: This is a link to a high resolution picture of the design if you would like to try it yourself. The design: His underwear :-): More underwear: The printed hat: The uniform ready to be put on: Preparing the uniform: Almost ready: And the result: The uniform is also useful for making priests. Enjoy, B. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Wow, there is one heck of a lot of detail packed into that fig. It's so complex it seems perhaps too confusing to be easily customized. I'm amazed you managed to make it all out of paper, and still make it look crisp and LEGO-like. A great job here. :-) Quote
JoeMI6 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Ooo, a very nice custom there. I doubt I'd ever use it, but it's great for all those itching to recreate some scenes from Angels and Demons (book by Dan Brown). Quote
Hobbes Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Whoa, that's a lot of work! I knew why I never started customizing minifigs, that's just too much hassle for me. But great work! *y* Quote
Lamanda2 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 A wonderful custom! *y* I really enjoyed this guy, the outfit is superb, as well as his hat, keep up the great custom work! Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 And the result: The uniform can ofcourse also be used for making priests. Enjoy, B. Its very good but he looks very young for a pope:-) Quote
zeki Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Just find this out...and I have to say I love it *wub* . I will try this out. Soooooon! :-D Keep up the good work! :-) :-) Quote
Capn Frank Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Its very good but he looks very young for a pope:-) Hey B, You should use Emperor Palpetine's face to get the REALLY aged look. P Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted April 24, 2007 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted April 24, 2007 Hey B,You should use Emperor Palpetine's face to get the REALLY aged look. P Indeed that head would be more suited for a pope. But I already use that face for the chief of staff of Napoleon. Maybe I could use the Vader-face for my pope? Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted April 29, 2007 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted April 29, 2007 Those are some scary pictures oo7 :-D Quote

MatthewUSA Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Very well done at the customization Bonaparte. I definitly give you two *y* up. This minifig looks really *sweet* . What other minifigs have you customized? Model on. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted December 21, 2007 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted December 21, 2007 Very well done at the customization Bonaparte. I definitly give you two *y* up. This minifig looks really *sweet* . What other minifigs have you customized? Model on. Most of my older customs are American Civil war figs. Now that the Minifig Customization Workshop is launched, I'll soon show some new work. (Answering an old unanswered question is a perfect way to bring an old topic back *sweet* ) Quote
Armothe Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 I like the work you did with paper. Paper is my second favorite medium after plastic. Soon, however; you won't need a paper hat for your Pope! -A Quote
Zuloon Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Wow! That looks great! Lol at the Star Wars Pope. Quote

Batbrick Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 That looks excellent Bonaparte! *y* I love the look, very wellmade, but still retaining a great, legolike quality. Good decision going with a dual layered clothing too. I'd never thought of using paper, but the idea is so simple and you've executed it flawlessly from what I see. I'll have to give this an experiment, this forum has been dragging me in :-$ Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
iamded Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Fantastic custom, Bonaparte! This looks really good! *y* :-D Great job! ~Peace Quote
