1974 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 (edited) Hello trainsters! Most TLC trains tend to five studs high (with 1/3 brick smooth plate and the one brick roof) But not all, take a look at this : Does that not look good? Going up to 6 studs makes it possible to retain the smooth roof of the 7938 while adding doors. But then it would look strange with my 7939 But I could add another layer of grey bricks (don't have any of those angled yellow bricks) on my 7939 and get up to 6 studs as well Anyone done that? Sokratesz Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I guess this is the odd one out, most others are indeed 5 bricks high (excl roof). Admittedly, the 7755 does look a bit silly when put next to the much smaller 7760, but it's about as tall as the passenger trains when you include the pantographs. - Sok. Quote
1974 Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 4564 is also quite high : And so is the TS3 train .. Hmm, I think I'll try to up the 7939 one stud and 7938 as well. That would make is posssible to put doors in the 7938 while keeping the curved roof Quote
CarrollFilms Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I usually go 6, sometimes 7 if the diesel is rather big. But 6 is my most common use. Quote
