Admiral Croissant Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 That's a very nice lay-out. I can spot some nice building techniques. It sure has a classic-pirates feeling and I also like the brig. Do you know how many visitors you got there? And another thing, perhaps it has been asked before, but did you ask the creator of the HMS Victory model to become a member here? His ship is also impressive and could give a lot of inspiration. Anyway, thanks for sharing! Quote
Skipper Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Just looked through the whole BS folder and wow, that's amazing! I love the classic style, some great "everyday life" details in there as well. Cool that you incorporated the Eldorado Fortress into the layout. Great work. Quote
Hiawatha Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I have seen these before on Brickshelf and I think that this layout is amazing! I agree that it has a very classic feel. It would be neat to see such a thing in person. Quote
Captain K. Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Hello, thanks for your nice answers. A man from Berlin, Germany has built the HMS Victory. He does not write in this forum. Unfortunately! However, the ship will be exhibited soon in the "Technik Museum" in Berlin, Germany. One can do it have a look there. Capt. K Quote
kurigan Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Someone's a Patrick Obrian fan... A brig named "Sophia"? Although you know Jack's first command was just "Sophie" and coincidentally his wife is Sophia. It's over all a very nice display, but i think my favorite part is that slick lil brig. Quote
Corweena Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Wow! I absolutely love this MOC! I love how it captures the classic 90s pirate feel. Excellent work by both of you! Quote
Captain K. Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 @ kurigan Yes, I am a fan of Patrick Obrian. But the ship has got the name "Sophia" to the daughter of a good friend of mine. So the ship name does not have to do with the books of Patrick Obrian. Capt. K Quote
kurigan Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 well then, its just a neat coincidence :) Quote
Dreamweb Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 It looks truly great! I'd like to see that in person. Expect it to be blogged soon! [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] Quote
