Here's my last entry, for the "Globetrotters" catagory.

Cost- I'd say $5-7, but not completely sure.

Inspiration- I've always loved Australia, and the Aborigines seemed like one would be fun to make, and most certainly represent Australia. So I made custom hair from Sculpy, and hand painted all the white, and cut out the loin cloth.

Backstory- The tired Aborigine walked slowly through the desert. He came to a lush green tree, sat in the shade, and knew he needed to find an animal soon to feed his family.

So here is my entry.

The vignette.

And a photo of him I liked.

Kudos to you for the detailed paintwork on the figure! The hairpiece looks really good too, I'm guessing you added the streaks on top of an existing hairpiece.

Thank. No, the hair is completely original. I made it over some foil to separate from the head.

the hair is really well made!

did you paint the torso? or it was just "brasso'd" to remove prints from a brown torso? either way it was well done too!

Nice work on the sculpting and the paintwork is also nice! Especially the hand print, though in Lego world i think it is just 2 horizontal rectangles or a 'c' shape.. Lol. but I love the tree design in your vignette, looks like a Baobab tree of sorts..

Good luck for the contest!

Nice work. The Art on his chest looks quite good, and the way it's been put on gives a sort of more dull look than shiny like most Lego, which adds to the look of it. Well done.

Nice painting on that guy! I'm glad that you havn't gone overboard with the 'art', it looks decently like an official minifigure, even though arm printing is quite rare . What part/materal is the loin cloth made of?

Thanks, the loin cloth is made from the tent piece from a Prince of Persia set, cut out.
