ADHO15 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) Wayne Manor / The Batcave 8x8 vignette for Bruce Wayne, aka. Batman (and friends Alfred Pennyworth the butler and Dick Grayson, aka. Nightwing). This entry was designed to represent a portion of Wayne Manor with the Batcave below, located on the outskirts of Gotham City. There are six levels: the underground garage/tunnel/workshop, the Batcave, the Wayne Manor entrance hall, Bruce Wayne's study, a bedroom and the attic inside the roof. A closer look at the Batcave module. I own no Batman parts, so I had to do the best I could with other parts to make the notable locations and characters. Here's Bruce sat in his study. And here's Alfred going to answer the red telephone. Please have a look at the rest of the photos available on Brickshelf when the folder is made public. Comments and criticisms welcome. Good luck to all the other great entries. Thanks for looking! Edited November 15, 2011 by ADHO15 Quote

The Penguin Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 A great entry! What I really like about that vig is that it's my favourite type of vig! When small at base but tall and with great attention to details! Not to mention those lovely purist figures! Great work! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 Thank you very much, you two. I'm pleased you like it! Quote
halomaster96 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 How dare you make something that great! I was going to do that but it would be nowhere near as good as that! I hate you (not really)! Quote

phanstasm Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 (edited) Great design and execution! The coat rack in the main hall is brilliant!! The roof peak is cool too. I love that you put a box and spider inside for that extra detail. I never thought of using the Harry Potter torso for Bruce, but it really works. Nice Alfred and Nightwing minifigures too. In the Batcave Area: what set is the middle keyboard from? I recognize the left and right ones from Batman sets, and the two in the middle from a bank set, but can't place the black one in the very middle. Edited November 16, 2011 by phanstasm Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 Thanks a lot for your comments, you two! I really apprectiate them! In the Batcave Area: what set is the middle keyboard from? Actually, I got all five printed slopes from my 'Battle of Endor' Star Wars set. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Exellent! I love the parts usage for the figs, and the Bat-Computer is truly amazing! Exellent work ADHO! Quote
E.Nygma Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Thats cool. Must get drafty without walls though :P Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 Thanks very much guys! Glad you like it, Darth! Four walls on an 8x8 vignette would leave very little interior space, so I decided to go with corner supports rather than one or two walls, like some of the other entries used. Quote
