Toastie Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Very quickly: The Technic forum is discussing method of expanding the PF receiver range to 8 channels (16 individual motors that is) in this thread, starting around post#41 it is getting really neat. TLC has announced the bit-protocol already some time ago ("enabling the extra address bit"). Just in case somebody is interested. @The Brickster: This post should be deleted if this is common knowledge - I certainly have missed the discussion. Regards, Thorsten Quote
mostlytechnic Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Yep, once I clean up the code a little more I'll be sharing it. Works great... currently runs on an arduino w/ a custom set of levers for control. Quote
kyphur Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 (edited) Agreed that it's an interesting discussion but it just doubles the "frequencies" available and requires the extended frequency receivers to be primed each time you start up. My current layout plan uses 22 Switches, 2 Double Crossovers and a motorized Turntable! That's 27 points of control I'll need just for those! Edited November 24, 2011 by kyphur Quote
