Zane Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 But I don't want the prequal trilogy sets. *sing* Nor do I want Town or Racer sets. 2007 is looking a bit bleak to me... Still, it gives me money to get this years sets with. Quote
Hobbes Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Nor do I want Town I do! *sing* :-P ;-) Quote
Zane Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Hehe....then again, we usually get a few surprises in the year, such as the new X-Wing and BWvsWL, so there's bound to be more OT sets. And of course, this isn't the full listing...I know that. Quote
snefroe Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 what's the naboo fighter? is that the one in ep1, with ani in there? what on earth is MTT? Quote
Zane Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 MTT Naboo Fighter The MTT might be worth a buy though...assuming it's big. Quote
Hobbes Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 what on earth is MTT? Multi Troop Transport. That thing the mini version already exists of... Quote
Farrusco Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 what's the naboo fighter? is that the one in ep1, with ani in there?what on earth is MTT? I believe that the Naboo Fighter is the yellow ship from Episode 1. The Jedi Starfighter Fighter with the ring appears in Episode 2 when obi-wan pursues Jango and Boba Fett Slave 1. The MTT is the big droid transport from the battle in the Episode 1. Quote
KimT Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 what's the naboo fighter? is that the one in ep1, with ani in there? what on earth is MTT? The Naboo Fighter with the ring appears in Episode 2 when obi-wan pursues Jango and Boba Fett Slave 1. The MTT I believe it is the big droid transport from the battle in the Episode 1. As far as I know the Naboo Fighter is Yellow and is the one Anakin flies in episode I, The Jedi Starfighter is the one with Obi-Wan Kenobi - and I can't wait for that baby. Finally we get the ring to go along with the JSF. The MTT has been done before and looked like this: so it looks like we're in for more remakes! KimT EDIT: The Naboo Fighter and Jedi Starfighter has both been done before, the Naboo even as a UCS set. Quote
xwingyoda Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Many tks Farrusco for these great news *y* Even more fantastic news coming from Portugal ;-) Sea Port !! I feel like screaming right now Yeayyy *sing* SW: Only PT sets |-/ How odd !! Well we can hope for an Ep 3 JSF (Utapau version) and MTT (the MTT is also on Ep3 according to the SW.com's databank). Those can be sweet redesigns !! I hated the first MTT: I think I kept it like a week before wrecking it :-D However WTF with Ep1 set >:-( Oh well, lets hope that the redesign is a real beauty !! The two previous versions and especially the MF one were real crap !! *yoda* Quote
dunamis Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I agree. I thought the first MTT (7184) was hideous! They have already done two Naboo starfighters; 7141 and 10026 However, I am wondering if the Jedi Starfighter will be the EP 2 or EP 3 version? EP 2 Starfighter EP 3 Starfighter Both were seen with hyperdrive docking rings in the movies. Also, I remember at one point there was talk of a UCS version of the Jedi Starfighter. This set number seems to indicate that it is a system set and not UCS set so it is probably yet another re-design (with the added hyperdrive.) It will be interesting to see the mini figs included with these, especially the MTT which could fit in nicely with the droid battle pack. Sadly, I am not at all impressed with this latest wave of sets. These are all redesigns and NONE were even on my top 20 wish list. If we Quote
gylman Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 As a non-Star Wars fan, I have some hopes for the Ferrari set. The Ferrari line has mostly been good so far. The Fiorano looks like a very nice car. I wonder if Lego can make a nice version of it. http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/ferrari_599gtb.asp The F430 Spider was excellent, one of the best sets of 2006 IMHO. Quote
mutley777 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 we could be getting a minifig naboo fighter with chrome parts :-P Quote
Robiwan Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 However, I am wondering if the Jedi Starfighter will be the EP 2 or EP 3 version? I thing it will be the EP 2 Version, because it ist in the films the only with a hyper drive ring. *vader* Thats realy good news. It will be a good lego year. But when I read this I thing I need a lot of money! *sweet* Quote
WhiteHexagon Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 [quote name='gylman' I have some hopes for the Ferrari set. The Ferrari line has mostly been good so far. But I wonder if they will put Kimi mini figs into the exisiting packs already for January :) Quote
Zarkan Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Gas Station? Cement Mixer? SEAPORT?!!! Man, that just made my day. X-D 3 cheers for 2007! ;-) Quote
Darth Doggfather Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 SEA FREAKIN PORT, BABY!!! I really hope this is as good a set as it sounds. Gas Station? AWESOME! I might be buying a lot of city in 2007. Man, you just made my year! Quote

But when I read this I thing I need a lot of money! *sweet* No. Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter used a hyperdrive ring in Ep3. I believe it was when he was searching for Grevious. Quote
Athos Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Seaport? That sounds like it has potential. So do the cement and garbage trucks. And, while the PT sets don't interest me much, it at least gives hope we might see an Amidala and/or other similarly neglected figures... Steve Quote
alex54 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I can't believe in all those city sets! 8- Quote

Ok you are right, Obi-Wan has a hyperdrive rin in EP3. In the scene where he start from his stardestroyer. Quote
oo7 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 SW, Bleh. All PT junk that has mostly already been made, I like the January ones better. But the town sets, they sound great! I was dissapointed by the yet more fire sets for January but this makes up for it by far. I think this is the first cement mixer and garbage truck Lego has made, and they will make great editions to any town. Thie sea port sounds like it could could have a lot of potential but I am left wondering what "Containers" is. Quote
Hobbes Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 But the town sets, they sound great! Of course, news for the all time best theme always sound great ;-) I think this is the first cement mixer and garbage truck Lego has made Nope, there were a garbage truck and cement mixer in the past. Looooong time ago. sne mentioned them here. Quote
oo7 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Oh, well in that case those sets are so crappy that I will completely ignore them and say that I am very happy that lego has dumped all those multiple Police and Fire Rescue sets in the City Landfill built and sealed by a dumptruck and a garbage truck and used it for the foundation of the seaport. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I can't wait to see pictures of the sea port. I hope it will be along the classic line, as opposed to the new City theme. Lego has another chance to do this right. Quote
