LandShark Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Located in an abandoned warehouse in the industrial district of Gotham City, the domain of the dastardly duke of duality, Two-Face! Split down the middle, just like the villain himself, the lair shows the clean, professional looks of his good/light side, and the spoiled and evil looks of his bad/dark side. The Good Side: The Bad Side: On one side, a potted plant. On the other, a burning bat: Okay, I know this isn't great. I'm short on pieces, but I wanted to contribute something. I also thought this was a pretty good idea for a villain home, and I at least tried. Comments and criticism would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) The overall idea is good, but I must say that the MOC itself is underwhelming. I understand the shortage of parts (I suffer from it often myself), but if you are short on parts, use them in an innovative way. Almost all of this is studs-up, and the parts that do use SNOT are few and far between. More details would be appreciated, such as Two-Face himself, unless you don't have him. What I would think would make it better is to not use the tan/black color scheme, but instead use a similar concept to the B:AC courthouse, with one side neat and the other falling into disrepair. That would make the MOC much better, IMO. Otherwise, nice job, especially with limited parts. Edited November 28, 2011 by Darth Nihilus Quote
K-Nut Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 TWO-FACE!!!! My favorite villain! The MOC itself is OK, but I'd love to see you expand it, as the idea and design is good, but the actual Vig is lacking, make it taller and I'm sure you'll do fine. Quote
The Penguin Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I really like this MOC! Very Batman Forever-ish! And you did a great job with giving such a clear impression on such a limited space. And clever ise of background paper! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
El H Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I really like the inverted R2 units, it's an original use for the part. I don't mind that its small, it captures the feel you were aiming for. I don't think a MOC has to be SNOT to be considered good. Quote

I just noticed the R2 bodies, they look quite good, but I think that the 'good' side should have a potted plant and the 'bad' side should have a dead potted plant. That would make the MOC a bit more symmetrical. Sorry for being so harsh with my criticism. Quote
Vindice Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I like the fact that you've contributed to a great competition even with a shortage of bricks. It's a nice concept for a MOC too. Quote

My original idea was to have an B:AC courthouse-type thing, but in the end I went for a Batman Forever-style, with both sides having a completely different architecture. And I'm sad to say, I don't own Two-Face. I really like this MOC! Very Batman Forever-ish! Thanks, and as a general announcement I'd like to say: I will finally be able to use Bricklink in about a month, and I will try to make a much bigger scale version of this. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I like the good side! I see also two different background for your first picture! Quote
Si-MOCs Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I like the fact that it's instantly recognizable (with touches from the movie which I won't name) WITHOUT A MINIFIG! Nicely done :) Quote
