WesternOutlaw Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Norro's recent Castle Guard review got me looking at some classic castle sets. I was admiring the simplicity but yet the nice design of sets like the Armory and the Blacksmith shop. So I tried my own version of an Armory/Weapon's Shop. Here's a few shots: Here's a shot of Lego's official Armor Shop: Quote
Jipay Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 This set was my first lego system set :'-) I think you managed to capture the design in a really nice way : simple but definitly effective and nice looking ! :-) Does this one connects to other walls like the set that inspires you ? Quote
Norro Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Very, very nice! I love just how classic the contents of the store are (not to mention the payment method). The only eye opener is the orange/brown helmate stands creeping into lego a little ahead of their time ;-) . I love how you captured the spirit of the era. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 Does this one connects to other walls like the set that inspires you ? No, I didn't use connectors. In addition, it's hard to tell from the pictures, but the bricks are white instead of grey. It's funny that the pictures came out that way. The only eye opener is the orange/brown helmate stands creeping into lego a little ahead of their time ;-) . Nathan Didn't even think of this when I used the orange pieces. Thanks for your comments. WesternOutlaw Posted October 1, 2006 Author Posted October 1, 2006 I like to mix castle and pirates. The ships look good next to an old fortress. Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted October 11, 2006 Author Posted October 11, 2006 It's funny how a thread about a MOC always ends up in war. ;-) Quote
