Legoroni Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Ok, so I decided to build this I am using the PF parts from the Ferris Wheel and a dummy IR Reciever to make this. I don't care about the speed that much right now. However, my motor isn't working. My battery box has a green light, so I don't think it's the batteries. Can anyone help me? Quote
JopieK Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Well, is there a green LED on the receiver (in your picture it is on!)? Did you check the channel of the receiver and remote?!! Quote
DLuders Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 (edited) @ Legoroni: ISOGAWAYoshihito's Lego Power Functions "Dog Train" is great! I'm concerned that you said that you are using a "dummy Receiver". The Power Functions (PF) Medium motor must connect to the PF Receiver, and the PF Receiver must connect to the PF Battery Box, like this: Be sure to read the "Frequently-Asked Questions" (FAQ) on the official PowerFunctions.Lego.com website. JopieK Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Indeed it is great :) he has brilliant ideas about LEGO and technic stuff doesn't he?!! Quote
Legoroni Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 I connected the motor directly to the battery box, because I don't want remote control right now Quote
DLuders Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 (edited) @ Legoroni: Well, it looks like your Lego Power Functions Medium Motor is burned-out. You can get a new one (Part 8883) on Shop.Lego.com here for US $7.49, or via Bricklink (Part Number 58120c01). If you want to be adventurous, you can attempt to pry your PF Medium motor apart, like Brian Davis did with his PF XL motor (as documented on Philo's Power Functions Motor Presentation webpage): Edited December 26, 2011 by DLuders Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 If you connect the motor to a battery box and then stick an axle into the motor and give the axle a couple of turns (with the motor on) does this help? Quote
Legoroni Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 If you connect the motor to a battery box and then stick an axle into the motor and give the axle a couple of turns (with the motor on) does this help? Unfortunately, no. I guess I will probably have to buy a new one. Quote
JopieK Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 return it to LEGO, they will probably send you a new one without hesistation. Quote
