Mr Hobbles Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 For the geeks amongst us, I found this: http://hackaday.com/2011/12/26/ip-over-lego-train-carrier/ IPoLTC...or, IP over Lego Train Carrier. ;) The jist is that a USB drive is mounted onto a lego train that goes around stopping points. It uses Arduino to control the train. As it goes round, it stops at a stopping point, and wires touch with aluminium foil to mount the USB drive. Data is then transferred to it, and it carries on to the next stopping point. When it gets to the destination, the data is transferred off. :P I can see lots of cons to this: For a start, it aint the fastest transport protocol! Secondly, it's only half-duplex. And it doesn't seem to have a huge range. Nevertheless I found it entertaining. :) Quote
