antp Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 B-OM-8D Hello, A little more than two years ago I started a MOC, but I did not often "work" on it so it took time until I finish it. The aim was to make the tallest possible building, with the restriction that it should fit in my apartment (whose ceiling is at 2.5m). So here is the result: It fits well between other modular buildings: But it is a little taler: My cats were not of a big help... More pictures and info : http://mocpages.com/moc.php/301766 Quote
tafkatb Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I... I have no words. This is incredible. Any estimate on a piece count? Quote
antp Posted December 28, 2011 Author Posted December 28, 2011 For the piece count, no idea... I build without counting When demolishing it in the next days/weeks, I may try to estimate the count. Quote
Vindicare Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 That is just awesome! I love how you color coordinated it. Bad kitty! Quote
Andy D Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) Is it just me? Or have all the photos vanished? On second look, it appears that MOCPages is not working correctly at the moment. Andy D Edited December 28, 2011 by Andy D Quote
antp Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Now it seems to work again... does mocpage often go down, or is it just since I put something on it? (two days in a row it was down around the same time) Quote
Yatkuu Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 This is insane and I love it. I hope that you don't live in an earthquake zone... Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Wild design, and crazy puddy tat's eh ? A fantastic idea, pity it's going to be stripped down. Brick On 'antp' ! Quote
pikappa79 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Beautiful MOC! Nice Color and... bad cat! Quote
supersympa Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I hate cats! lol original idea, and well planned! Quote
Andy D Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) Now that MOCpages is back up I can see it. This is just amazing. In addition to just building a tall (tall, very tall) tower. I like how you put some really creative details into each level, so it was not just a "let's see how high I can stack these things" type of build. The kitty was just playing. But I'm still glad it wasn't my creation that got knocked over ;) Andy D Edited December 29, 2011 by Andy D Quote
KeepLeft Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Not sure what to think of this. It's the kind of thing I would want to build but I do not think I could bear to dismantle all my models to do this. I love the way it fits in with the other buildings. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 How's the view from the top? Great build. Keep up the good work. Quote
antp Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 How's the view from the top? http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=301766&id=/user_images/68992/1325027849m (but I took the picture in the wrong side, the effect is not as good as the one seen from the ground) Quote
MadManMingo Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Totally wird ! Totally insane ! ...hardly any playability But just totally awesome Quote
clcwong Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Nice try! If the colour can blend in more it would look even nicer! Quote
Jameson42 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 This thing is totally ridiculous awesome! Reminds me a bit of the iPhone/Android game "Tiny Tower". Quote
Solitary Dark Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Love all those different balconies, particularly the Yellow floor. It is ever so slightly Mad. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 This is an interesting building. I like how you connected different building styles in one tower. There are some good ideas for building, such as the fence in the brownish floor and different shapes of the balconies. Also, the color combination - the rainbow-like - in the middle is great. Well done. Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Very interesting methods for building here. I like the different styles of balcony and the use of various shapes and curves. Nice tower. Quote
