WesternOutlaw Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Are you new to EB? Are you new to Train Tech? Do you have less than 10 posts? If you answered yes to any of these questions, PLEASE introduce yourself before you start posting questions in the Train Tech forum. You can do so in the Train Tech Registry (if you're a LEGO Train fan) or the Community Forum/"Hello My Name Is". Why? Because we want to get to know you. Train Tech is a LEGO Train Community, not a 1-800 LEGO Help Line. While our more experienced members are always glad to lend a hand, please don't pop-in just to ask a question about your new train set or some new issue you're having with your first train/building experience. Questions of this nature might include: I'm having trouble with my... Can you help me build this... Where can I find this piece? Where can I find instructions to build this train? Which train should I buy? I'm new to trains and looking for... What's the difference between 9V and PF? Is track of different power systems compatible? etc, etc... It's not what Train Tech can do for you, but what can you do for Train Tech? While no question is a dumn question, contribute something to our community before you join to ask a question. Introducing yourself is a good start. When you don't, we end up with a forum flooded with 2-3 post topics with Question, Answer, and sometimes by the more polite newbies, a thank you. Questions from new train builders are certainly welcome, but again, please don't join EB/Train Tech just for technical assistance. This is most evident if your first post is a question about your new train. IMAGE POSTING: In addition, EB's site guidelines for posting images is 800x600 max. If you post pictures larger than 800x600, your pictures will simply be removed. You are most welcome to add back once they have been resized within our site guidelines. EB's site guidelines can be found here: Member Guidelines Thanks for your time and compliance with these guidelines. Please familiarize with these terms of EB membership. -TheBrickster Train Tech Forum Moderator Quote
