RedGiant Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) V-LC-17C Hi, just built a small "Hot Dog Trailer" for my town. Nothing complicated, but I´m glad I finally managed to build something with wheels... Comments and criticism are welcome! The owner - inspired by my local pizza store. EDIT: Added picture, just for fun... Edited July 26, 2012 by Phred Quote
just2good Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Nice idea! My city needs something like this. I especially love the use of the racer's soda drink brick. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Excellent creation 'RedGiant', an old looking food wagon....nice one ! Brick On with hot dogs and mustard ! Quote
L@go Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 That's very nice! Wouldn't want to buy my hot dogs there, though - the owner looks a bit too grumpy and that rat makes me wonder what kind of meat he's really selling... Quote
Brickmamba Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Really well done, would definitely like to have one in my town layout, great work Quote

Vincent Kessels Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I really like your trailer. The missing tail light is a great detail. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 The hot dog trailer looks nice, also I like how you 'aged' it by using tan and white colour combination (some paint missing, I am right?), and the missing light is great. However, I'm not so sure about getting a hot dog there. Quote
Tancred_de_Beauville Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Looks really good, interesting addition to Lego City. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Very nice! Are those faces from the Western theme I see? Quote
Modulex Guy Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Very good detail on such a small scale! I would be proud to tow it behind one of my 5 wides. Quote
RedGiant Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 Thank you all for your nice comments! The hot dog trailer looks nice, also I like how you 'aged' it by using tan and white colour combination (some paint missing, I am right?) Paint missing, dirt, primer... something like that yes. Very nice! Are those faces from the Western theme I see? The owner of the establishment got a "Western Face" (some great faces in that theme). The man with the bottle got a face from 1381. Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Great idea, nice touch to make it not only out off white bricks! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Very nice little build. It definitely looks true to life whenever I've seen a trailer selling food. Only the best comes from out of a vehicle. Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see more. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Great little build 'RedGiant'! Lots of detail in a small trailer. Great job Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Oh wow, this is a great subject! Wonderful work! Quote
SeanM Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) The only thing I'd add is a folding sign similar to the trailer in 6345. Awesome MOC. I'm really digging the gritty ghetto style. Edited January 23, 2012 by SeanM Quote
RedGiant Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 Thanks again for your comments, I'm happy you like it. The only thing I'd add is a folding sign similar to the trailer in 6345. Yes, that would be great! I actually tried to include something like that, but I came to the conclusion that the size of that folding sign would have to be big enough to cover the window... and that would ruin the "tinyness" of the trailer I'm afraid. One of those eagle stickers from 6345 would be a nice add though! At the moment I'm waiting for some Bricklink orders, and therefore I have some time for playing around with other things.... Quote
