ACPin Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 During the height of the Roman empire, it was a common sight to behold the Legionaries led by the commanding Centurion depart for new campaigns after visiting the temples. Click on the pic for more details! Posted January 30, 2012: The eagles have landed on the roof top... Posted January 27, 2012: I am a Roman Centurion like my father before me... Still a WIP that goes together with the lion statue. AC Quote

TheBoyWonder Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Lego did in fact make a gladius. It came in the S5 Gladiator. Just an idea. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 It's looking good! I like the reference too! Quote
LEGOman273 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I just noticed something. . . What are the Battle Droids on top of the columns supposed to be? Quote
Foremast Jack Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) The columns look great! It reminds me of the senate house door from ROME where Marc Antony had Cicero's hands nailed after his execution. While that's not exactly historically accurate would be funny to see a pair of mini-fig hands up there. Oh, don't you wish Lego made a Roman gladius ? Lego did in fact make a gladius. Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) Awesome job, you've created another masterpiece. I don't think I've ever seen so many different tan bricks. I really enjoy your use of the different bricks in ways I've never seen or would have ever thought of. When I first saw the pics of you using the SW battle droid torsos I thought "wow". Then I saw how you used the bricks that protrude from the side of the building to make a pattern and another "wow". Then I had to zoom in to examine the roof of the temple to check out how you did the tiles. I really liked the effect and look of the dark red plates with the rounded corner on the roof. Really nice touch. I'm blown away and I know the more I examine your pics, the more awesomeness I'll find. Edited February 4, 2012 by Sir_Basil_Ashton Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 That's some damn fine moc AC! I really like Roman themed builds and don't see many, this is one of the best. So much to like and a very fitting color scheme. Excellent work! Quote
