WesternOutlaw Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I thought of another fun Halloween topic. Let's share some spooky images. I don't mean pictures of your 4th grade teacher or your big sister in the morning before she puts on her makeup, but rather real Sppoky images in the spirit of Halloween. I'll start if I can find a certain image I'm thinking of... Will edit once I find it. OK, the image below is a picture that I had in an HP Lovecraft Roleplaying Book. It's called the Groglin Vampire. I found it on the web as the Croglin Vampire. I don't know the story, but it's always been a scary vampire for me.
Starwars4J Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 As you know, I like posting true things ;-) That's a condition known as a harlequin fetus, and it's 100% real
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 (edited) ^^^^Usually the children die after being born (infection, I'd imagine)... but there's at least one man out there who survived it. If I recall right, he has to CONSTANTLY scrub excess skin off, growing at an indescribable rate. His life's a hell of daily inconvenience, but he made it into adulthood at least. I'd post some pics that scare the bejeesus out of me here, but looking at them on my hard drive... they're a bit too gruesomely innapropriate. Anyway, This is actually a guy, who played with photoshop and became an instant internet fad. Shadow person! Edited October 14, 2006 by JINZONINGEN 73
WesternOutlaw Posted October 14, 2006 Author Posted October 14, 2006 The image of the lady under the guy's bed sends shivers down my spine. That's a real scary one! *skull*

xwingyoda Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I can think of loads of pics I can post but I know at least someone who will say its too scary and what have you |-/ So I will use this thread as an hommage to some of the best "scary" actors ;-) Hehe, here is a little game: who can name those 4 actors playing the most famous undead count :-P *yoda*
WesternOutlaw Posted October 14, 2006 Author Posted October 14, 2006 I've always found Nosferatu to be a scary looking vampire.
Jemppu Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Well, it's not an image exactly, but this video is probably worth watching for spooks even if you don't understand a word (like me). Gets interesting towards the end.
Brick Miner Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 i have to admit, was pretty scared to open this thread... i mean, there are some nasty images on the web... and StarWars4J delivered... i don't like images like that. however, there are some really good ones too... that lady under the bed is cool scary !!! all-in-all, this thread is not too out-of-control, like i might have thought *sweet* - BrickMiner
WesternOutlaw Posted October 15, 2006 Author Posted October 15, 2006 i have to admit, was pretty scared to open this thread... i mean, there are some nasty images on the web... and StarWars4J delivered... i don't like images like that. I agree. I like to see spooky images, but not of this variety. Something about babies I don't like to see. I guess it is a real image, but these types of images are scary in another sort of way. Imagine if that was your child? But on a more positive note (well, don't know how positive), but the lady under the bed is the scariest image yet (in my opinion). Something about her waiting to rise up and grab the person on the bed... Scary!
Scouty Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I find the girl in the room scariest, eeek! I might be wrong, but the one with the girl under the bed looks something from The Grudge, though i haven't seen the movie. Personally....I dislike watching scray movies.
WesternOutlaw Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 Personally....I dislike watching scray movies. Do they scare you?
Scouty Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Scary movies are for some, and not for others.
Lamanda2 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Ok, those who are faint of heart should leave this thread immediatly, for this next image is the most horribly terrifying of them all : You were warned! *skull* ~Amanda
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 (edited) I love YTMND. Edited October 18, 2006 by JINZONINGEN 73
WesternOutlaw Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 This one gives me the creeps! It's definately the black eye cavities.
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 (edited) Lol... this is probably the best video "proof" of a haunting ever. Taken in the basement of a hotel, inside a town known for hot springs. The thermal image existed both against the surface of a filing cabinet, as well as the air just above it. The hotter, glowing emblem on the arm is painted onto the filing cabinet. This youtube vid stops before they show what happens next... the thermal image going back completely to "normal", no sign of the humanoid figure, no sign of a residual heat signature. http://youtube.com/watch?v=B7C7WlYCZGQ&sea...ghost%20hunters Edited October 19, 2006 by JINZONINGEN 73
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 (edited) Yawn. Can you say... "double exposure"? Here's an annoying one: The Hampton Court Ghost This one became fairly well known after it was released in December of 2003. Hampton Court, near London, was one of Henry VIII's favorite hangouts (it's because of him that Anne Boleyn is now a headless ghost roaming the Tower of London). A fire door inside the castle kept being opened when no one was supposed to be around. Guards checked the security cameras' videotape... and spotted this figure in period costume walking through the door. Castle personnel swear they don't know who did this, noting that they don't even have a costume that looks like this. 'Course this could be some prankster at work, but I felt this was yet worthy of including in my top ten list... until we ever find out otherwise. It might turn out to have just been some tourist in an overcoat. Yeah, ok, I'm sorry... this is clearly a MAN, even going back to close the door correctly. And yet... it made news all across the globe... no doubt to further discredit the supernatural. Here's the gif I made to show how phony it is: http://www.maj.com/gallery/JINZONINGEN73/J...nghostmyass.gif Similarly, a gif showing how stupid "Bigfoot" is. Hey, where can I buy a hair shirt like that? http://www.maj.com/gallery/JINZONINGEN73/J...igfootmyass.gif Perhaps even more annoying is that long-time Bigfoot analysts took the enhanced gif there and tried using it as further PROOF. People see what they want to, I guess. >__> Edited October 21, 2006 by JINZONINGEN 73
xwingyoda Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 GAAAAASP !! Get that cat away !!!!! X-D EDIT: I just found...that hoooooo, scary !! *yoda*
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 The psychic kid segment is annoying, but there's 1 or 2 good ones in here: http://www.jonhs.net/freemovies/worlds_scariest_ghosts.htm http://ssiys.ytmnd.com/
Athos Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 here is a little game: who can name those 4 actors playing the most famous undead count Well the first is Bela Lugosi, who I always think of when envisioning Dracula. And the last on is Christopher Lee. I don't know the middle two. Steve
xwingyoda Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Well the first is Bela Lugosi, who I always think of when envisioning Dracula. And the last on is Christopher Lee. I don't know the middle two.Steve Excellent Steve ;-) Since apart you no one wants to play here are the two other actors: * 2: Max Shreck * 3: Klaus Kinski *yoda*
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I never would've got those last two. I was thinking Lon Chaney or Boris Karloff had to be in there somewhere.
