SpokaneSteve Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Hello all: I know this may not be of interest to too many but I have been working on some sets of TTX intermodal cars. I asked Ministicker.NL if they could print reproductions of the stickers from Lego's TTX Set, 10170. I looked today and they are now available. I have ordered them and I will add pictures and a mini-review once I receive them. Cheers, Steve. PS i wrote a nice post with links but I'm too much of a noob to put that one in :( Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) To add a link copy the website address then click this and paste the address where it says "insert link". The box below is to give the link a title that will look better than something like, http://www.eurobrick...&f=122&t=65817. Here is the link to Ministicker.NL. It's a pretty neat site Edited February 5, 2012 by Leg Godt Gud Quote
SpokaneSteve Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 Understood, I can't add links until I have 5 posts. Add one here! Quote
DwarfSleepy Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Great news, thanks for sharing. Just grabbed the last 2 that were available though... Let's hope a new production run is made Quote
JopieK Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Will do I think I still have a bunch from the first batch ;) Quote
roamingstop Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Will do I think I still have a bunch from the first batch ;) Now all you need to do is make red and light grey stickers of portholes to help out those poor Santa Fe buyers... Quote
JopieK Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I think I'm going to need to quit my job (I'm not sure my students will love that, or then again... they might ;))... Portholes huh. I have a lot of red windows but only a few gray indeed. I'll do my best but can't promise anything yet. Quote
roamingstop Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Portholes huh. I have a lot of red windows but only a few gray indeed. I'll do my best but can't promise anything yet. You mean you had not quit already? Since the elements fit onto 1x2 panels (trans-clear or trans-black); only the outside section needs to be coloured light grey or red. I should make the point I was fortunate enough to acquire some years ago... but someone else on here recently wrote about making Light Bley and Dark Bley versions of Santa Fe; and suitable coloured porthole stickers would probably be interesting. JopieK Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I agree, but mixing colors is almost impossible with our printer, but I have gray that matches LEGO quite well. Quote
Piranha Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Here is the link to Ministicker.NL. It's a pretty neat site Indeed I love that site. Quote
SpokaneSteve Posted February 16, 2012 Author Posted February 16, 2012 Hello all: Here is a mini review of Ministickers.NL. I received the stickers in the mail yesterday. At first glance they look great. The printing is dark and opaque. The material is thin and easy to work with and the cutting seems quite good. I took a couple pictures: Here is the TTX sticker: Here it is placed on a 1x4 yellow brick: and finally here it is on my well car: The only possibly negative note is that finish is glossy but not as shiny and "plasticy" as an official Lego sticker. All in all I am VERY satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this vendor for replacement of Lego stickers and cool custom ones as well. Cheers, Steve. Quote
JopieK Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Thank you Steve for the comments! I am just getting my bricklink parts in these days so I can finally make up for my mistake to not buy this set back when it was available. Greetings Johan Quote
