solta Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 V-LV-57E & V-LV-57F This is my first MOC on this forum. I made 5-wide car in minifig scale for two minifigs to fit inside. I made this car a year and a half ago. I wanted to do a car for two whole minifigs. If I wanted to install two minifigs I had to take into account that each of them fills two studs and that between them is space for one more stud. The end result of creating a car like that made 6-wide vehicle (1 more stud for both mudguards). And this is the result: For more pictures click on this link: Porsche 911 targa I also made one in bright colors and red interior: Quote
Danger19 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I like the grey one, you can see the detail. Nice work. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I guess Porsches are popular these days, i just commented on another one! I really like the fact that this is 5 wide, as a Porsche is not that big a car. Well done! Quote
Lorentzen Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 oh Wow - that is really impressive work! Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Very nice! I like the gray and red one, nice colors. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Very nice sport car! I like the 5 studs format Quote
Modulex Guy Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Porsches sure are popular! ...Is it just me, or did I start the trend with the 911s, ever since I posted mine, there are tons of Porsches out there. I think we need a Porsche thread. Quote
ER0L Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Great stuff - awesome shaping, instantly recognizable. To tilt the headlights like this is a great idea. I like the way you managed to fit two figs in, too. A very appealing MOC, thanks for sharing! Quote
solta Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 Thank you all for your replys. The main reason that I chose 5-wide body is because you can sit down in parallel two minifigs and even after size still fits original Lego City roads. So in the end it was designed mainly for dioramas. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Great 5W Porsche 'solta'! They look great, very nice job. I like you take on building the front end Quote
Brickmamba Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I like the grey one, you can see the detail. Nice work. Agree the grey Porsche comes out looking better, maybe it is the blue glass windows in the black one that makes it look little odd Quote
Decknar Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Great car. Love the design. Does somewhat resemble a Porsche. Quote
