badboytje88 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Jirou was walking around in the temple. Since he was on a well balanced diet he wasn't allowed to eat whatever he wanted. However sometimes he liked to indulge himself in the things he loved the most. For Jirou that was a home made strawberry muffin. Unfortunately for Jirou he crossed paths with the Black Ninja. With one fluent movement the ninja chopped of Jirous head. Revealing Yoshiko who had been hiding behind Jirou the whole night. 'Iiiiiieeeeey she screamed' The ninja didn't hesitate and chopped off her head too. Awoken by Yoshikos scream, Isamu came to check what was going on. He stumbled upon the corpses of Yoshiko and Isamu. There was a scream growing in his throat. But it would never make it all the way and out into the open for a White Ninja chopped of Isamus head too. Great Grandfather Lloyd was walking his pony as he stumbled upon the corpses of his family members. He stacked them on top of the back of Perry the Pony and brought them to the Dragon of Truth. The following morning he spoke to his family. 'Dear children, grand children and great grand children' 'It appears we've not only been infiltrated by the Mutineers, but also by a group of Special Agents who are trying to bring us down.' 'I trust you will hunt them down and lynch those too!' Minoru and Isamu were members of the Special Agents. Jirou and Yoshiko were members of the Yakuza. WhiteFang Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Oh dear, I didn't see that coming that there is a 3rd rivaling faction known as the secret agents who also want to see our family's downfall. I can't believe it. I thought things could be simpler but we will now have to factor that into our thoughts process as well. It was very unfortunate.
Brickdoctor Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Ugh. Lost two Townies in one Night. Good to know that Isamu and Minoru weren't Townies, but, at the same time, they weren't Scum, either.
CMP Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 At least we didn't suffer the humiliation of having Minoru come up Renegade. Well, it does indeed seem we have 2 scum teams. So, the black ninja is obviously one of the scum's killers. I'm tempted to believe it's the Mutineers', since Chieko, blocked on Night Two (the same night we lacked a scum kill) was apparently blocked by Minoru, a secret agent. I was skeptical since I was positive Minoru was coming up scum the following day, that Chieko was townie, since a scum would not block their own killer. But this newest revelation, I believe, sheds a snotty green light on our geisha grandmother. Ugh. Lost two Townies in one Night. Good to know that Isamu and Minoru weren't Townies, but, at the same time, they weren't Scum, either. I think they were scum, just....not the scum we were looking for. If they were independent or neutral, I doubt great grandfather would've told us to try and lynch them too. Although the fact that it's not explicitly in the rules we're trying to lynch the secret agents does have me a bit confused.
Etzel Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Ugh. Lost two Townies in one Night. Good to know that Isamu and Minoru weren't Townies, but, at the same time, they weren't Scum, either. Aren't we supposed to see them as Scum? Apparently they are trying to take us down as well. 2/4 is an improvement from yesterday at least. I'm still amazed that Tamiko is still alive, neither the Mutineers, these Secret Agents or the Vigilante took the chance to get rid of her.
Nightshroud99 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 It seems like everything evened out last night. We unfortunately lost two of our own, but, we lynched one of these "special agents" and another was killed. Mutineers, specials agents, what's next? Still we have Mutineers to kill, I wonder if the black ninja is a Mutineer killer or special agent? And, I wonder, what the special agents objective is.
def Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Well, I can say I'm very happy with some of those results. I had developed a friendship with Yoshiko and Jirou, so I'm heartbroken to see them go. You will be dearly missed, family. But, in other great news, Hiroki (Etzel) was investigated as scum last night! Please explain why this is a false reading, Hiroki! I have every desire to lynch you today
Brickdoctor Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 At least we didn't suffer the humiliation of having Minoru come up Renegade. We don't know that, yet. For now, I'm assuming that the Special Agents are neutral/Independent, but for all we know, they might actually have been told they were Renegades and could choose sides.

For now, I'm assuming that the Special Agents are neutral/Independent, but for all we know, they might actually have been told they were Renegades and could choose sides. I'm assuming they are a secret scum team. They sound like government, and government is no friend of Yakuza. Let's lynch Hiroki! (anyone have time to make the banner? )
CMP Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I'm assuming they are a secret scum team. They sound like government, and government is no friend of Yakuza. Pretty much my reasoning on the subject too. Thing is, if they're both out to kill us townies...well, I read this book called Baritones (Third edition) where the scum teams merged once their numbers got low. I think that might be the case here, considering that without a killing action the secret agents have zero chance of directly eliminating townies. Either way, it seems we already have a big ol' lead here. Let's see where it goes.
Etzel Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Well, I can say I'm very happy with some of those results. I had developed a friendship with Yoshiko and Jirou, so I'm heartbroken to see them go. You will be dearly missed, family. But, in other great news, Hiroki (Etzel) was investigated as scum last night! Please explain why this is a false reading, Hiroki! I have every desire to lynch you today Uhm, what? I have no idea where you got this information from but it's definitely false, I'm a true Yazuka. I don't see how I would have came up as Scum during an investigation, it really must have been either some sort of mix-up or some framing on me. I might not have been the most outspoken person during the days here in the temple but I've always put the family first and really tried to help whenever possible. I deny all accusations and question the sanity and honesty of whoever came up with the false result of me. I bet it's some lousy gambler that's been losing money in my casino.
iamded Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Whoa, would you look at that. I suppose with so many of us here, we should have seen a second scum faction coming. But hey, now we know and they've lost their element of surprise! This is good, very good. It's a great shame to have lost grandmother and Jirou, but to make up for it, we've got another lead! So, Hiroki, what say you on this matter?
def Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Uhm, what? I have no idea where you got this information from but it's definitely false, I'm a true Yazuka. Actually, you got investigated because of your lackluster contributions to the day time Perfect under-the-radar play. And you weren't framed, since there would be no reason to do so, you weren't an obvious target. And nobody knew you were being investigated except Jirou, the vig, the cop, and I, and I didn't tell scum. So, it wasn't a mix-up. If you are true Yakuza, the cop will be held accountable, and it would be best to share whatever information you have to share before the inevitable lynch occurs.
Professor Flitwick Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 *sniff* What? Special Agents? I wonder if they started with the same amount of people as the Mutineers did? Hiroki, try as you might, you must know there is little chance of success when arguing against investigation results?
Etzel Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Actually, you got investigated because of your lackluster contributions to the day time Perfect under-the-radar play. If you are true Yakuza, the cop will be held accountable, and it would be best to share whatever information you have to share before the inevitable lynch occurs. Under-the-radar play? Hh, yeah I guess so, but that wasn't my intention. I guess I just didn't knew what to say in all situations when people started talking about all the secret conversations they had been having. I've not been part of any of those so I had to try and play from only what I experienced during the day in public, and that made it harder to have strong opinions about everyone. But back to the real question, why I've turn up scum on you investigation. You say I can't have been framed because I'm not an obvious target? That's not very convincing I say, with 2 scum teams around, who can know all their possibilities and objectives? Maybe they knew I don't have any allies to speak up for me and therefore not risking anything with setting me up like this? I don't know if this is the way it's been done but I at least I won't discard it just because I've not been one of those who shout loudest here. You also say there were 4 of you knowing I was going to be investigated, that is quite a few people to keep a watch on. Are you really sure none of them might have been going behind your back? I'm amazed that you already seems to have gotten quite a team going there, but I must stand a bit sceptical to how you've managed to guarantee the alignment of all of those already. As for information to share I don't have much. I've got my personal notes on some family members that I've thought looked suspicious or trustworthy, but they are all based on the same events that we all have seen here in the temple during the day. E.g. I find Tamiko (zakura) highly suspicious because of all that Jester-crap she came up with the day before yesterday. I think you and Emi (Brickdoctor) are true Yakuzas because of your activeness of getting scum lynched. I didn't really think Yasu was Scum but voted for her anyway since it seemed like the best choice. And I'm not scum, no way I'm telling you.
Rumble Strike Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I think the Black Ninja must be with the Mutineers, we don't even know if the second faction have a killer, as the White Ninja is evidently the Vigilante. I guess as Yakuza we must stop both the Mutineers and the Secret Agents, Great Grandfather Lloyd says as much. So although we didn't get a Mutineer, the groundwork was laid to get rid of someone who wasn't Yakuza. At this point it seems Norio is honourable and he must be confident accusing Hiroki outright. I can't see Hiroki talking his way out of this, but the day is young.
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Well, the plot seems to thicken. Another faction to hunt down and Norio's investigator has tracked down a Mutineer. I must agree with Norio that Hiroki being the target of a framer seems unlikely. Not only did Hiroki not really seem like a good target for such a skill but with this second scum team appearing, a secondary role like that probably wouldn't exist. Both scum teams are likely too small to have one.
fhomess Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Wow, what a lot of new information to digest! I'm sorry to see we lost two devoted Yakuza. Poor Yoshiko was just trying to find a safe place to hide! It's also nice to see that the Goon finding on Isamu was most likely correct! I think the Black Ninja must be with the Mutineers, we don't even know if the second faction have a killer, as the White Ninja is evidently the Vigilante. I guess as Yakuza we must stop both the Mutineers and the Secret Agents, Great Grandfather Lloyd says as much. Well, it's possible the black ninja could be either a mutineer or a special agent, but ultimately it doesn't really matter much. They've all got to go! I must agree with Norio that Hiroki being the target of a framer seems unlikely. Not only did Hiroki not really seem like a good target for such a skill but with this second scum team appearing, a secondary role like that probably wouldn't exist. Both scum teams are likely too small to have one. Actually, if there are two scum teams and they're both small, I'd think that plays to our advantage as they have less ability to coordinate with each other. In either case, it seems like we have a good lead with Hiroki. I agree it's unlikely Hiroki would have been framed, and while possible, the easiest way to find out would be to cast our votes for him and see what the dragon snot says.

Brickdoctor Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 But back to the real question, why I've turn up scum on you investigation. You weren't the obvious target. You've made no significant contributions so far as I can tell. The only thing that stood out to me was your circular reasoning about double bluffs on Day 2, which I think was nothing but unhelpful, distracting WIFOM. An obvious target would be somebody like Nobuo, at whose throat Norio has been for the majority of the situation, or Chieko, or maybe Tamiko or Lizzy. (though it is worth mentioning that Investigators should investigate those on whom they have no read, and I don't think you've done anything in public to give anyone a significant read on you, so you were a good target for the Investigator - probably not the obvious target) In any case, if you are lynched and come up Town, we then can use that information to hunt down Scum. Statistically, we should be able to lose at least two Townies for every Scum killed and still win this situation. This is a team win situation, so I don't see much loss in lynching you, even if you come up Town.
Bob Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Hurrah. I was correct on Isamu's allegiance of not being a true Yakuza, however I didn't expect him to be a member of a third faction. I can't say I'm surprised there's a third faction, though. I trust Norio's results and findings, since we've been in constant contact. If Hiroki has been investigated and found to be a Mutineer, then there is a good chance that this result is quite true. Also, the role-cop that informed me of Isamu's allegiance was Hiroki, so I suppose the Mutineers and Special Agents aren't working together. Since he came to me on Day One and claimed that he was a role-cop, I assumed he was truthful. I told him that he would be accountable if Isamu turned up to be a Yakuza instead of a mutineer, and he said he would come out and say that he was responsible completely. He was correct about Isamu's role as a goon, which exemplifies my point of the Special Agents and Mutineers not working together. It's clear that I've been used as a patsy, and I bought up Hiroki's reveal and "aid" as it went along. I was foolish.
WhiteFang Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Hmm, Norio's investigator claim on Hiroki seems to be worth looking into. At the same time, did anyone else also wonder why the hell the Black Ninja is able to whip and massacre 2 of our family members... Based on the pictorial illustration, it is obviously that the Black Ninja is killing Jirou but why will dear Yoshiko be involved in it as well? I don't get it... UNLESS, they are lovers? Or, is Yoshiko performing something else. I don't quite get it why the hell the Black Ninja can be so powerful in Night 3... I thought they can only kill one at most! This is very perplexing...

Based on the pictorial illustration, it is obviously that the Black Ninja is killing Jirou but why will dear Yoshiko be involved in it as well? I believe Yoshiko was hiding behind Jirou. That's what Grandfather inferred at least. It's too bad she chose the wrong person to hide behind that night.
WhiteFang Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I believe Yoshiko was hiding behind Jirou. That's what Grandfather inferred at least. It's too bad she chose the wrong person to hide behind that night. Yes, I know what Grandfather is inferring... And, I am trying to establish a firm cause for Yoshiko's death.. It is not logically possible for one to get killed just because she was just "hiding" behind Jirou. It is simply not possible... Which means, whoever roles is protecting, blocking, tracking, watching, and blah blah, Yoshiko can't get killed with just one simple kill action by the Black Ninja... I am trying to relate and possibly inclined to think that the both of them are actually LOVERS... Not sure if they knew each other are lovers or hidden from one another.
Tachyon Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Aren't we supposed to see them as Scum? Apparently they are trying to take us down as well. 2/4 is an improvement from yesterday at least.
