Darth Nihilus Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Hello, For the Hogwarts Community Build, I chose Lupin's Office. I'm still not happy with it, as it still needs the shelved cabinets from the movie & book, so it's still a WIP, but I decided to finally post it here. Enjoy, and C&C is much appreciated! Just two shots for now. The rest were incredibly blurry and/or grainy, so best not to put them here. Topic will be updated in a few days with new pictures. Quote
Slick Willie Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Great start. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Quote
Hinckley Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 This is a real nice start...from what I can see. Do you have lights in your house or do you live in a cabin in the woods? Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 This is a real nice start...from what I can see. Do you have lights in your house or do you live in a cabin in the woods? An apartment with very few windows. The pictures were taken pretty early in the morning yesterday, right after I got back from work (Bad hours are bad, I work 8 PM- 3 AM ), so what little light there is is the lights of the city in the background. JackJonespaw Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Looks like a nice start. I'd find some way to take those numbers off of the pictures, though. Quote

Bad hours and few windows. If only there was a solution. You seem to have a good camera, though. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 Bad hours and few windows. If only there was a solution. You seem to have a good camera, though. Try turning on the lights while your girlfriend is sleeping. You'll find out why I didn't do it. I actually have a Kodak DX6490 Zoom, too bad it doesn't work well in low light. Quote
Darkdragon Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 stack of books and timer function will solve your low light blur issues but the grain need light. Quote
Hinckley Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Try turning on the lights while your girlfriend is sleeping. You'll find out why I didn't do it. I would not like to try that at all. If only you had something to block the light. Quote

According to the National Safety Council in the United States, 300,000 injuries are caused by doors every year. Quote

Vindicare Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Great suggestions Hinckley, interesting ideas there. I look forward to seeing your new photos, you had a good looking model, what I could see of it. Quote

Vindicare Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 (edited) Not bad, I like the stack of papers on the desk. The office is a bit sparse, though. There should be a bookshelf and a few trunks. The cabinet that held the boggart in it. A definite improvement over the first one. Nice job. Edit: yay, I'm a Duke. I feel so distinguished. Edited March 14, 2012 by Legocrazy81 Quote
JackJonespaw Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Hm...I still feel that it needs something on the floor? Maybe a Grindylow in a tank? Quote
