Looking for MOCing tips for building HF weapons

Hey I am new to MOCing so I was hoping you guy's could give me some tips.

Just asking for general tips is a bit broad. Are there specific types of things you're interested in MOCing? Is there a certain size of model you're most comfortable with? Identifying those things could be the first step to actually producing MOCs that make you happy.

As Anchir said... First start with an idea, or a concept, just words (I want a big bad robot with claws, two heads, whatever), then you develop something with your pieces and then you can ask for opinions or tips. I don't own any set since 2010 but I can work with LDD as you if you preffer...

Well, I don't know about you collection but also depends of your imagination, in the actual sets weapons are not very complicated, they are only one piece. So you can take this pieces and make them as a weapon, or if you preffer a more personal one build it. Always depend of what you want, there are a lot of different type of guns, plasma, acid, fire. Start with an idea...

Sure... But you have to tell me what kind of sets do you have...

I have stormer 2.0 breeze 2.0 A bunch of villians and a lot of bionicle pieces. I have lots of bionicle sets but DO NOT want to take them apart.

Oh and rocka 4.0. I don't have a lot of heroes.

how did you put those things on the green armor next to his hands

If you have these parts, this could help. Only need five parts for this and you have a pretty good weapon.

Set up:

Though it lacks the look of a shotgun, but makes for a great machine gun.

For the small guns on his hands, I cut some lightsaber parts.

I have all parts excluding the trans yellow peices

I like that but it needs a scope and I'm gonna make one

For a scope, just use this picture as a guide. Just find some Lego lightsabers and cut them, then find one of those small gun parts and follow the picture. All you have to do is place the rod in the hole, and you have a scope on the gun.

As you can see, there is a plasma tank, a scoope, and you can change the armour or put more. Also you can change the "type of plasma" depending of the color of the head inside de gun (is a tank)...
