Architecture Contest: Operaen

This is my entry in the Architecture Contest based on the Architect Series. It is a model of the Copenhagen Opera, or simply known as Operaen.

Operaen was finished in 2005 and is located at Holmen in Copenhagen, right on the water front. Operaen was commissioned by the Danish business man Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller and designed by Danish architect Henning Larsen.

That's a very unique building you chose, and the representation is simple yet effective. Everything lines up perfectly, and the whole thing flows very well. The trans-clear slope pieces you used for the front window were perfect.

Looks nice, perhaps an upside down slope or curved piece could catch the roof line? In a slightly bigger scale the old 4x6 slope pieces could work?

I like this very much! Very tough scale . Your model looks similar to its original and it made in LEGO architecture style indeed!

That's a great model of the Opera. Last summer I was running around the Opera holmen daily, and enjoyed the view. The only comment I'd make is that the roof appears a bit to wide from the side (maybe one stud narrower would do better), it looks from the pictures of the original that the roof doesn't cover the sides of the building (or maybe I'm mistaken).

Nevertheless, good luck with the competition with this amazing model!
