Hi,

I just finished building my replica of James Bond's ultimate spycar, the Aston Martin DB5.

It features (almost) all the spygadgets a spy could wish for:

- revolving licenseplates

- bumperpushers

- a bulletproof shield that can rise from the trunk

- a phone in the door

Furthermore it has some ordinary car features as well:

- The doors, trunk & hood can open

- The front wheels can be steered using the steeringwheel

- A V12 engine

- 2 seats + 1 bench in the back

Pictures and more details can be found on my cuusoo page.

Leg godt,

Jeroen

What, no ejector seat?

Just kidding, this is a great MOC, the shape of the original car must be pretty difficult to render in brick form. As a die hard Bond fan this gets my vote... but the Lotus from The Spy Who Loved Me will still be my favourite Bond car

Yeah I was seriously tempted to do the ejector seat. I even had a working prototype, but in the end I decided to go for the looks instead of the gadget...

Then on the other hand, I already made some working ejector seats in my F14 :)

This amazing car have the Style as a James Bond car have to have.

But are there some nice Bond features ? :D

Of course there are :)

- revolving licenseplates

- a bulletproof shield in the back

- a phone in the door

- tire cutters on the wheels

- a radarscreen in the dashboard

The only thing missing is the passenger ejection seat, I couldn't think of a small enough mechanism for it :(

The bricks are coming in to make it in real life. I'll post some video once I finished the real thing...

Hi,

As promised before. I have finished the Aston Martin in real Lego. All features are working as expected :)

More pictures can be found on my cuusoo site.

Love your model of the DB5. Is it possible to get the instructions from you?

Just one thing. I think the engine should be a straight 6 rather than a V12 for this model.

Hi,

I can send you the LDD file that I have. It's not the final design as photographed, but it's 80% accurate I think.

I just received the LDD .lxf file of this EXCELLENT  Lego model from Jeroen Ottens (by sending him an e-mail by clicking on his login name at the left part of his posts). I added my support on his Lego Cuusoo page. There is a lot of functionality in a small package -- Bravo!

A fantastic idea, brilliantly executed, although Cuusoo says that the project has been deleted?! :look:

I noticed that. Why would it be deleted? That seems odd

The original post was created more than a year ago. The cuuso link was deleted maybe because there's already a winner for the said period
