A very awesome minifig

These parts were pre-stickered by previous owner.

The jet engines consists of two parts.

Okay, let's get building. We begin by constructing the frame.

Then the nose is added. Everything is symmetrical on either side.

Finished with headlights, and mounted on the chassis.

Note the rubber band that will return the rotor lever to its original position.

tn_dscn0355.jpg

This gear rack will be pushed to turn the rotor blades. The rubber band is attached to a 2 axle with a bush.

tn_dscn0356.jpg

This rack connects the rotor to the main driveshaft.

tn_dscn0357.jpg

tn_dscn0358.jpg

The wind-up mechanism rack is next.

tn_dscn0359.jpg

tn_dscn0360.jpg

tn_dscn0361.jpg

THe nose is locked in place by 2 thin 5 liftarms.

tn_dscn0363.jpg

Next is the tail section. Two 12T bevel gears will turn the rear prop.

tn_dscn0366.jpg

tn_dscn0367.jpg

tn_dscn0368.jpg

tn_dscn0369.jpg

tn_dscn0370.jpg

The slope pieces makes the tail look nice.

tn_dscn0370.jpg

Mounted on main body, and held in place by two beams.

tn_dscn0371.jpg

tn_dscn0372.jpg

Four vertical beams keeps the body together.

tn_dscn0373.jpg

tn_dscn0374.jpg

tn_dscn0375.jpg

Tail rotor in place.

The base for the cocpit roof is added, along with some "engine" parts.

tn_dscn0376.jpg

tn_dscn0377.jpg

tn_dscn0378.jpg

The "engine crankshaft" pieces are used to complete the cockpit roof.

tn_dscn0379.jpg

tn_dscn0380.jpg

tn_dscn0381.jpg

tn_dscn0382.jpg

The landing gear rack uses the "Changeover catch" in a new way.

tn_dscn0383.jpg

tn_dscn0384.jpg

Two steps for either side.

tn_dscn0385.jpg

tn_dscn0386.jpg

Some landing gear.

tn_dscn0387.jpg

tn_dscn0388.jpg

tn_dscn0389.jpg

tn_dscn0390.jpg

tn_dscn0391.jpg

tn_dscn0392.jpg

tn_dscn0393.jpg

Main rotor added, and minifig eager to try this out.

tn_dscn0394.jpg

tn_dscn0395.jpg

The changeover catches actually looks like rudder controls. Very clever, Technic team!.

tn_dscn0398.jpg

Up, up and away!

tn_dscn0400.jpg

tn_dscn0401.jpg

Lastly, some comparison shots with other helicopters (8068, 8046, 8812, 8825, 8215, 8217)

tn_dscn0402.jpg

With 8068

tn_dscn0403.jpg

With 8217

@ Lost_In_Noise: :classic: You should submit your Lego Technic reviews to the Brickset administrator (Huw). Here is where it would go for the 8232 Chopper Force.

First time i made a review here, it was added automatically after a few days. Only now did I realize this wasn't the case. Do I just send him a PM, or do I have to do something else?

I am loving all of these pictorial reviews!

Me too - keep 'em coming! I love seeing some of the older sets that I have not yet had the chance to examine since coming back into the fold. That is a nice little Chopper. Interesting mechanism too.

After you create a Brickset account, you can add a review of Set 8232. You can add the URL (web address) of this Eurobricks topic, to steer folks over to this pictorial review.

Will it be listed as a regular Eurobricks review then, or will the link just be posted in the comments?
