Axis600 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I'm in love Although, what happened to the U-mag you guys were designing for the Sten? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 (edited) The Flintlock Pistol and Musket look very nice, I am wondering though: Will the cimmerian pickaxes, polearms and swords you showed on here earlier ever be released? Edited June 15, 2012 by Scubacarrot Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted June 15, 2012 Author Posted June 15, 2012 Although, what happened to the U-mag you guys were designing for the Sten? Based on fan feedback on the Sten Gun prototype as well as the continued interest in additional accessories feature the tab-slot system Will's incorporated into several BrickArms accessories, Will decided to update the Sten Gun design for the production version as is seen above. I personally love the updated design. The Sten takes on really interesting vibes when different tabbed accessories are attached to it, and the Sten magazine really adds something neat when it's plugged into weaponry like the BrickArms MG42 and MG34. I am wondering though: Will the cimmerian pickaxes, polearms and swords you showed on here earlier ever be released? Those accessories are all still in development, but should Will decide to take those items into mass production, they would be part of a future BrickArms release. We'll just have to see, but folks letting Will know those are items they'd like to see produced is definitely feedback he'd be interested in hearing! Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Great release, I had to order some M9's, and a trench gun, and a few XMP's; then a tokrev. Quote
JaseTJ Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 The MG34... how in the world is that clip supposed to get in there? Quote
jonwil Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Nice, the SABR shotgun is perfect for police forces (or for any number of Hollywood action heroes) And the Flintlock Musket would be perfect for some Australian Colonial era redcoat troopers for a project I had in mind (at least I think it would be perfect, I am not up on my Australian history enough to know whether the redcoats at that time would have been using flintlock muskets or some sort of rifle) Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted June 15, 2012 Author Posted June 15, 2012 (edited) The MG34... how in the world is that clip supposed to get in there? The small ears on the inside of the Saddle Drum let it clip over top of the ammo slot with the perfect amount of grip such that it's easy to attach and remove but still won't fall off. This design allows the MG34 to be compatible with all the other tabbed BrickArms accessories, and the Saddle Drum to be attached to many other BrickArms accessories, in particular the MG42. Completely agree. As nice as the U-mag can be, the tab-slot system really needs more love, and the resulting changes to the Sten look much nicer and more realistic; the U-mag and the raised stop on the opposite side felt a bit bulky. CMP Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Cool stuff. The M1887 looks rather off for a sawn-off shotgun, but I'm delighted to see a wider range of pistols, the dated M1911 design was getting old. I'm not much into modern/futuristic weaponry, but that XMP.... Quote
J.V.D. Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Nice... so I can finally give Kazim in my IJ Venice chase the gun he deserves.. ( the Sten) In fact since I saw the Sten and the Tommy gun announced as prototypes, when was it, almost a year ago?, I have been waiting for their release and postponing a B.A. order. Quote

Fair enough. Are the U-mags ever going to be produced, or are they out of the picture? I gotta admit, I was hoping to fiddle around with a couple, and I never had a hope in hell of grabbing a prototype one. Quote
Huntleyfx Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I'm really glad to see there is more pre-1800's weapons in development. And I am really looking forward to getting my hands on a few of those flintlock pistols for my army building. Quote

Hard to say absolutely, but at this time, Will doesn't have any specific plans to produce the U-Mag. Still, there's certainly subject to change in the future should Will think it'd be a good addition to the BrickArms line-up. Quote
Laura Beinbrech Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Oh, sweet! Definitely going to be getting some of these, especially the trench gun... I got one as a proto last year at Brick Fair and was awaiting their eventual release... I also did not know that the RPG-7 was in the works. I'm definitely going to be making an order from Brickmania here soon. Quote
CarrollFilms Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 World War Brick 2012 was the best place to buy this stuff. Spent $65 on plastic side arms. Totally worth it. Really hoping you guys have another World War Brick. Quote
has a differing opinion Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 I really like these new protos! I've been waiting for a g36c for a while, a new russian weapon is always good, and retro shotguns are much needed. Unfortunately, the line up of protos is still stuffed to the brim and they don't look likely that they'll be released soon! Quote

Really hoping you guys have another World War Brick. Glad to hear you had fun there! At this time, I'm not aware of any specific plans for any future World War Brick-style events, but depending on how World War Brick went, it's certainly a possibility! Unfortunately, the line up of protos is still stuffed to the brim and they don't look likely that they'll be released soon! Aside from pointing out Will just released over 20 brand new accessories, all I can say that Will definitely knows there are still items in development that builders have expressed a strong in and everyone can look forward to future releases from BrickArms as the year continues! AhabDarab Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 These new items are every bit a good as everything else that BrickArms makes! All I can say is wow. My favorites were the new lever action rifle and the new "tommy Gun." I had a chance to see ,and buy all of these at World War Brick this weekend. They are awesome. Thanks for the great new toys. My mini figs love em! Ahab out . . . Quote
