I got these at my local Wal Mart and decided to post a review for you guys. First up is the Shadow Crawler, my favorite 2007 mech by far.

Here is a zoom up of the claw and the cockpit. I think it is an awesome design, especially the claw part.

This pic shows the back leg and the spider orb(it came with the skeleton *sweet*)

And this shows how the halves separate.

Here is one of the guns.

And here is the other.

And some box art, too.

And the minifigs and instruction book as well.

My thoughts about this set are very high. I love the weapon design, the claw, the legs are very sturdy, there is an orb with a skeleton inside and the disc shooter works pretty good for how it is attached. It is my favorite 2007 set by far and I highly reccomend it.

10/10

Moving on with the Iron Condor, another great mech.

Here is a closeup on the claw, one of the best parts of the set.

A little zoom in on the cockpit.

And this shows how the wings look.

This is a top view of the cockpit. Note the green stickers on each side, which look pretty cool.

And here is some box art.

And this shows the Devastator and the instruction booklet. For some reason, the pilot is only silver, not red.

The Iron Condor is a pretty cool mech in my opinion, my fourth favorite 2007 one. The swivel waist doesn't fly around like the one on Meca One's mech, but it is sturdy and mives only if you want it to. The wings and feet and leg designs are amazing too. The only callback is the lack of thought out into the gun, only a missle launcher and a couple of little ones on the cockpit. I see why the claw is smaller than the Claw Crusher's, because big claws would just look a little weird. Anyways, I reccomend getting it and give it a 8.8 out of ten.

Great review, and nice pictures too. ;-) I agree with everything you said, especially the part about the weapons on the Iron condor. I mean, seriously, that mech is really underarmed. A light laser cannon, 1 rocket. and claws? Methinks they should have gotten rid of the unimaganative missile and replace it with a heavy cannon or something that actually damages the target. |-/

Still, I will probably get them both, and the rest of the January 07 line, just like the Janurary 06 line. ;-)

Me loving the Iron Condor! Actually, I might get it for my birthday! I never liked the Shadow Crawler. However, it looks great! So many evil engines of devastation to choose from...

LL911, I am currently on a Christmas vacation at my cabin, but I get back Saturday so I may post a little more pics. I also got all the AquaRaiders sets on Christmas so I will post a review for those on the town forum for those who are interested.

JoeMI6: The pics are huge on my computer, so the smaller I make them , the blurrier they get. But I got a new camera for Christmas that might not have the same problem.

Oh, and Grievious, it turns out that the Iron Condor's missle has a magnetic force in it and since the human battle machines are all powered with magnesium orionate, it shuts down the battle machines upon impact. That is pretty powerful, especially because the robots attack with great numbers.

magnet only affects ferrous metals and composites. not sure why ppl link magnesium with magnet. :-/ sorry, just geek talk. :-P
