Legonardo Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) Rod, a village in Glevum, was nearly completely destroyed by a terrible monster of magma. fortunately that elemental has been defeated, but Rod is in ruins. this MOC depicts a boy who's parents where killed in the attack and his grandfather heading to seek refuge in Gruven, where many have opened up there homes. they say their last goodbye to their once magnificent house, now only standing due to the rain that fell shortly after it was set ablaze. Another quick build from me, possibly my quickest yet, just 2 and a half hours! C&C welcome ~Legonardo Edited August 7, 2012 by Legonardo Davidy Quote
TenorPenny Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 A lovely idea, really well executed! I especially like the use of black tiles and plates to indicate the singed sections. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Cool build, the really looks like it was on fire Quote
ZCerberus Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Cool. I agree, it does look like it was charred. Quote
Angeli Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 great moc, I can actually see the lines of the fire burning :P) Quote
MikeyB Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Very well done and as others have said the black works really well showing the burned part of the house. Quote
Captain Settle Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Great MOC. It really looks like it got burnt up. Quote
de Gothia Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Very nice indeed! Very emotional aswell. The black has a really hreat effect on the burnt parts... Maybe add some stone laying on the ground around the wall that is broken? Sent the boy to me when he is 13 to be a squire and then a mighty knight of Avalonia! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Cool. I agree, it does look like it was charred. Indeed, the black "burned" parts adds a lot to that! Quote
Zach Mills Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Loving the roof, the charred effect is awesome. This has got to be my new favorite from you. Quote
