allanp Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Nice format. I think the new hub parts are worthy of a mention in the parts for the grand prix racer. Quote
captainmib Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 We do already have this topic... http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=73601 I know that, but the information is always spread out on lots of pages. We can keep that topic as discussion topic while this one has all the info. Nice format. I think the new hub parts are worthy of a mention in the parts for the grand prix racer. Will add them. Quote

paulrobinson Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Is there a general time of year when the flagship is announced? Quote
allanp Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Usually within the first weeks or month of next year we get some tiny blurry pictures with a list of set names/numbers before the end of this year. Quote
FuzzyBallz Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Definitely getting the Grand Prix Racer. Always wish I had the money to buy the Silver Champion when I was young. Quote
allanp Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 IMHO the grand prix racer is better than the silver champion anyway! Quote
Scorpion Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 I don't know why nobody has picked up on this yet: - The Hovercraft is reported as being the 42001 when the box says 42002; - The Mini-Backhoe is reported as being the 42002 when the box says 42004; - The Action Racecar is reported as being the 42003 when the box says 42011; - The Action Race Buggy is reported as being the 42004 when the box says 42010, and; - The Motocross bike is reported as being the 42005 when the box says 42007. This means we're missing 42001, -3, -5, -8 and -9, one of which is undoubtedly the Grand Prix Racer... Quote

Wow, nobody here on the forum saw these errors But, I don't think the number of the grand prix is wrong. I think the GP racer is just 42000. Quote

I think the GP racer is just 42000. I think you are right as on this website: http://www.brickset.com/browse/themes/?theme=Technic, like Scorpion said, the numbering is different, apart from the Grand Prix Racer, which is still 42000 Quote
Meatman Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 I thought those set numbers seemed off. Quote
legolijntje Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 I'm so used to my all posts edit right in de digital designer section. I wanted to edit the first post to correct the errors, but then I reminded myself I can't Can captainmib or a moderator edit his post? Quote
Hopey Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 (edited) Sorry if this is old news, but most of these are up for pre-order on amazon.fr: 42000 F1 car - €98.30 42002 Hovercraft - €14.97 42004 Backhoe - €18.80 42007 Motocross Bike - €28.10 42006 Material Handler - €61.80 There's some quite high-res images available, including at least one B-model not shown above, for 42004: <edit sorry about the huge image> Bigger version Can anyone spot any differences in these shots of the F1 car and the leaked images from a few months back? Edited November 30, 2012 by Hopey Quote
D3K Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Those are new to me at least, looking promising. I don't speak French, but it seems the Grand Prix Racer is offered as an F1 car? Still; looks very good, if I will buy any of the sets, that'll be the one! Quote
Hopey Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Yeah, at €100, I might have to get me one of them when the time comes. Or wait until there's a discount. Just spotted another thing: I think that the material handler is designed to be motorised with the 8293 PF set. Check out the pole reverser in this shot: big version Edit: I also just spotted in the above, where the grey & beige bevel gears are in the claw, this piece in light grey? Edit 2: And another one: On either side of that piece, and connecting the two yellow 5L half beams on either side of the 11L beam in the arm/boom/jib/whatever in this shot, do I see some of these 3/4 pins in beige? A frictionless version, perhaps? Finally, I'm not sure what's going on with the axle through the beige single bevel gear in the claw. It appears to be red (or possibly orange?), but if it's only 2L, I don't see how it can attach to anything on the other side. Unless it's fixed so it can't turn, and using that function swings the claw, rather than closing it, but that seems unlikely. A new part perhaps? Perhaps a shorter one of these? Edit again: Whoops, it's just a mini linear actuator. My bad, I haven't got any of them yet, so I'm not very familiar with them. Edited December 1, 2012 by Hopey Quote
Technic Gearhead Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 The battery box can also be seen underneath between the treads. Quote
DLuders Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Can anyone spot any differences in these shots of the F1 car and the leaked images from a few months back? The Scooter Guy had captured the pictures of that Lego 42000 that was (briefly) offered on eBay. He posted them on his Flickr photostream. Here are comparison shots between the official TLG "renders" and the actual model that was on eBay: Edited December 1, 2012 by DLuders Quote
SheepEater Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I hope the dirt bike has beams on both sides of the rear wheel (8051 did, but 8420 didn't) Quote
Technic Gearhead Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 It better have the big new orange panels on both sides also. Not sure why it wouldn't though. Would it have killed them to work in some orange 1x7 thick liftarms too? Quote
z3_2drive Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) is it usually in December when we get those first blurry box art images of the flagship and the other 2h sets? Im really eager to find out what they are and somewhat how they look like Edited December 2, 2012 by z3_2drive Quote
