Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Heres to it being better then Dead Mans Chest! Quote
El Bucanero Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Interesting outfits.... Anyone found a trailer yet? Quote
DoubleT Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 Dont think its out yet. but should come soon Quote
Kynok Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Wow! That was fast. The second one just barely came out on DVD and now they've already got the third one being advertised. Quote
KMOI Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 They actually shot the sequels back to back, just like the Matrix series. Pretty good strategy considering World's End starts right where Dead Man's chest left off! Also, if you get the two disc DVD for Dead Man's, you'll see sneak peeks for the third one! Well, nothing like a trailer, but clips here and there in the featurettes. Anyhow, as for the sneak peek posters, they rock! Pretty mysterious looking! It may be simple, but it gets the job done. Hope there's a more extravagant one later! Quote
El Bucanero Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 The trailer's out! You can find it here I've seen some things I didn't want to though.... Mr Tiber Quote

El Bucanero Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 What a marvelous trailer. I haven't seen the first two, but I might have to now. But Jack died? Yes, but I don't like the trailer, not because it's a bad one, but because it gives way to much info about the movie... It's just a big spoiler in trailer form... I only saw the half and then clicked it away... Mr Tiber Quote
Scouty Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 The trailer brings my hopes up for this film! SPOILER (Mostly for Mr. Tiber not to look at ;-) .) ~ It almost looks like the Spanish are involved...~ Quote

xwingyoda Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 ts ts ts TT, I already posted it in the trailer thread :-| *yoda* Quote
Aredhel Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 IMO the trailer is soooo great!! Cannot wait until I can just see the trailer in cinema... That will be much better than on the PC. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I didn't dislike the second one, in fact I thought it was quite good. Just not as good as the first. I'm deliberately trying to avoid the trailers for the third so I'll be nicely surprised. :-P Quote
El Bucanero Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Okay, so the film is out! So why don't we discuss it? I think this is a great movie! The music is also really good. Better than Dead man's Chest if you ask me... And they say there's gonna be a part 4. Maybe even a part 6... I believe I've read Johnny Depp signed a contract for SIX (!) parts! Mr Tiber Quote

Sir Dillon Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 The post below contains some slight spoilers, so if you haven't watched the movie yet, I wouldn't suggest reading it. (highlight to read) Just watched it today, and enjoyed it greatly. There were still some lame parts, and some very far fetched parts, but I thought it was much better then the second one, although still in a lower league than the first one. I thought that it tied up some of the loose ends nicely, and while the ending did make me a little disappointed, it wasn't that bad. It seemed too easy for everyone to get in and out of Davy Jones Locker and save Jack. I think that should've been a bit more difficult. I suppose time was an issue, though. I also think Jack was able to fly around too easily. I suppose it was cool, but it seemed pretty unrealistic. (though I suppose that I shouldn't be looking for realism in PotC. ;-) ) ... and the part where he parachuted of the Flying Dutchman with Elizabeth was just weird, for me. Where on earth did that come from? One thing that bothered me a bit was that besides Davy Jones, none of the pirates you recognize died. (or at least not that I'm aware of) I figured there be a scene after the credits, but the friends I went with didn't want to stay for the end of them, so I missed it. :-/ Oh well, I guess it's not that important... Coming out of the theaters, I was thinking it rocked, but mostly just because how disappointed I was over the second one. If compared to the first, it's still a bit of a let down... of course, that doesn't mean you shouldn't see it. ;-) Quote
JJ.walkers Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 The news says its over, there guna make spin-offs about Jack though. Quote
5150 Lego Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Just came back from seeing the movie. To be honset,it was a bit of a let down. Not nearly as good as i was hoping with all the hype. Defenatly feel the second was better. It did have its good parts though Don't want to give any away being that this is only the 3rd day its been out. I do agree with most of what sir dilloin said in his slight spoiler post. My main problem was that i felt some parts were a bit hard to follow. Anybody else fell that was the case as well? I've seen all three, and hadn't had a problem with folling the story of the first 2, just parts in the 3rd that were confusing. Quote
Shakar Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 I figured there be a scene after the credits, but the friends I went with didn't want to stay for the end of them, so I missed it. Oh well, I guess it's not that important... POTC 3 SPOILERS, YE BE WARNED!A short scene following the end credits shows Elizabeth ten years later. She and her nine-year-old son, William III, are on a cliff overlooking the sea. A green flash appears on the horizon (indicating Calypso's curse on Will is broken), and the Flying Dutchman rises from below with Will at the helm; he is returning home to them permanently as she has stayed faithful to him for the 10 years they were apart. It is unclear if Elizabeth has maintained her pirate career during Will's absence, although their son's choice of music may indicate so. Quote
El Bucanero Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 (edited) Lookie what I found! Pirates of the Caribbean deel 4 in de maak. May 28, 2007 by Mr Tiber Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 I haven't seen this movie yet.. Not Dead man's Chest, either. *wacko* But I've seen the first one.. :-D I guess I gotta go to the cinema soon.. :-$ Bruckheimer has also indicated he hopes the Pirates hype will eventually end up in two trilogies. Johnny Depp, who is playing captain Jack in the series, also told he's not ready with his role at all, and if it would depend on him, there would be alot more Pirates Movies. Ehm..? Pirates? :-P Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 28, 2007 Governor Posted May 28, 2007 Lookie what I found! I do wonder how credible that information is. I've read from several sources that Johnny Depp is more than willing to do a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie but Terry Rossio (one of the writers has said this) "It's like the fourth Indiana Jones picture - there are forces in play to make it happen, and forces in play to make it not happen. I think we will try to write a screenplay. I can't say if we'll be able to solve the challenge of making a good fourth film, or if our screenplay will be enough to get a film made.". Quote
