dillthepill Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Well, I just finished these recently, and I thought you might want my input on these, so here is the Sky Titan first. The legs were really well done, and were covered with armor. Surprisingly, the green doesn't clash as badly as I thought it might. The wings and zamor sphere at the top were a very nice touch. It made it look cooler, and the zamor launcher looks good at the top of the mech. The blades look nice too. The cockpit wasn't as well guarded as the Blade Titan's or Sky Guardian's because the armor on the sides left huge holes in between. The windshield is fine though, and you can see the wrench in the cockpit too. I like the gatling cannon alot. The shields behind it looked great, and the cones added made it look more powerful. The arm structure was different as you can see. The arms connected to the mech with a red technic pin. I also the idea of having turbines on the arm, and the missile is good too. As for the sword, it is pretty much the same as the Sky Guardian's, but the shield and laser light(or is it cannon?)helped make it better. It also looks better on the Sky Titan than it does on the Sky Guardian for some reason. And here is how the zamor sphere and wings connect to the Sky Titan, with a ball joint. [/img]http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/dillpickle/skytitan/legostuff_026.jpg[/img] What I thought: The Sky Titan is a very good mech. The weapons, armor, and added wings and such make it a great addition to any exo-force collection. When I saw it, I thought it would be really heavy. But now that I built it, it is about as heavy as the Supernova. Next to the Iron Crusher, it is my favorite 2007 mech that I currently have. Well, I need to go to bed. I will post my review for the Iron Crusher tommorow. In the meantime, you can see the Iron Crusher pics in my BS Gallery. Quote
exo attack Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Wow! This is much cooler than I thought! And thanks sooooo much for....well, you know why.;) Quote
Kahgarak Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Nice review.I still don't like the multicolor of the Sky Titan, but the design is awesome. Can't wait for the Iron Crusher review! Quote
Asuka Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Very nice! *y* All it needs is some additional steering device. Quote
dillthepill Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 All right, here is what you all have been waiting for!! Here is the Iron Crusher. There seem to be two ways to build this. One is like this And the other looks like this. I will be using the second design for my review. I found the feet to be very sturdy and strong. The stickers clashed a little, but it wasn't so bad. And here are what the upper leg armor looks like. It is basically the Iron Condor's but it has a fin and the jets go on the armor. The orb on the back looks very cool. It hardly clashes either. The two little laser cannons under the cockpit connect with ball and joints, so they can move around freely. Here is a zoom in of the cockpit. As I'm sure you could have predicted, it is basically the Iron Condor's design with a Claw Crusher's restraint. The left arm has a missle launcher, missle, and gatling cannon. All put together, it looks awesome. The right arm is just a claw used from the Claw Crusher. Nothing too special, but it looks better on the Iron Crusher. At the top of the Iron Crusher are the wings and destroyer disc launcher. They make a nice added touch. What I thought: The Iron Crusher is a very powerful machine. But all that power comes at a small price. It makes the Iron Crusher pretty heavy for a mech. It should be a land mech because it is so heavy. Otherwise, everything else was perfect. The weapons were very good and powerfull too. It is currently my favorite 2007 mech that I own. Quote
exo attack Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 As I said on EXFN, This is really cool, especially the missile launcher. The only part I don't like is the legs. They look too skinny to hold up that body. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Nice. Now I like the sky Titan more. Thanks! -ZotS Quote
Cyclone Titan Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 'Case you wonder im a new member, anyhoo jeez Dill those are extremely awesome i have all the 2007 mechs so far and I would'nt have the guts to build those. :-D Quote

dillthepill Posted February 7, 2007 Author Posted February 7, 2007 Please, could someone clarify me on this? Those are combiners, right? The look very nice.Shakar Yes, there are the combo mechs of this year. The Iron Crusher uses all three robot mechs and Sky Titan uses all three human mechs. Oh, and instructions are on Exo-Battle.com. Quote
Zarkan Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Hey, these dudes look much better now! Many thanks for the great pictures, dill. You may have just caused me to want to build these sometime! (once I get the last two kits. X-D ) Quote

PaulC Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Nice pictures Dill! I've just finished building the Iron Crusher, and although I agree that it looks pretty awesome, I have some issues with the design: 1. There are several mistakes in the downloadable instructions which meant I had to keep backtracking and made the build take ages. 2. The leg joints are too weak for the amount of weight loaded on the upper body. I like to pose my mechs around when they're on display and every time I try and adjust this one, the leg joints fold, the thing topples over and bits smash off (ouch)! 3. The arms on the design are next to useless as they can't even raise up straight to point at the enemy (despite what the animation on www.exobattle.com would have you believe). 4. Way too many parts left over. A few parts of the model are very weak and fall off every time I touch it. Some of the left over parts could have been used to fix this, and others could have been used to add cool details... no, wait, that would make the thing even more top heavy! :-D Overall, a disappointment considering the excellent design and poseablity of the 3 mechs that make up the Iron Crusher. Never mind, I am currently trying to rebuild and fix all the flaws. That's what's great about Lego! Quote
Dino_Bot Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Those are very nice, actually. I wonder if they have Alt constructions... Quote
dillthepill Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 Those are very nice, actually. I wonder if they have Alt constructions... No, there aren't unfortunately. It is the same for all the other 2007 E-F mechs. Look at the movies on exobattle.comhere. They are in the bottom corners. Very fast paced fighting.... amazing. Quote
PaulC Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 I've finished my mods of the Iron Crusher, and now I'm really happy with it! X-D The completed mech. I kept roughly the same design but now ALL the wing peices can pivot and rotate, so it can fold them all down and walk under low bridges etc. I ditched the prison bubble as it just made balancing the mech just too tricky. It fell over once too often and scratched one of my trans-green domes. >:-( I also beefed up the legs and feet, replaced the missile launcher and got rid of that horrid disk thingy. Iron Crusher with all it's wings extended, and proof that it can raise it's arms above it's head! The mech is more stable in "chicken leg" formation with the upper leg joint kept locked at right angles. The design is so flexible that the green wing parts can fold forward and become kind of shoulder pads like in the original design. Rear view showing wings folded like a beetle's. At last, the Golden Guardian has met it's match! Quote
