Brig. Brick Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 (edited) [pid][/pid] Enjoy! And the still thinking that ate Lego-beings are funny! edit: lucky me, the erase of the extra panels (two photos actually) don't change the story line! 10 panels, islanders topic.... dr_spock Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Good handy work. Funny in an adult themed comedy kind of way. ;-) Instead of "it will continue", you can have "more to come". Good thing for the 10 panel limit, n'est-ce pas? Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Isn't there a 10 panel limit? I counted 12 in yours ... It could easily be corrected - 3rd and 4th panel as one, with the crowd backshot beneath the stage. Also the islander telling jokes could be one panel with bubbles coming from each side. Let the officials decide if the comic is acceptable, but I guess being a bluecoat you have some protection Else a very nice comic! The islander sure is pretty funny although the crowd seems a bit unimpressed in the 4th picture ... some more laughter and Bravos should do! And it's a me in the comic! I know you bluecoats wouldn't have thought of that, but I tell you, we have a much more suitable person in our ranks, that would have gladly stayed in the barrel for the whole week! (Sorry Purpearljellyblob, I had to, at least I didn't mention you!) Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Great entry! Smart to let an islander tell the jokes. You also gave a good view of the average redcoat ship. However, MstrOfPppts is right, there are too many panels. Please reduce the number to 10. I'm sorry but we do have a few rules to give our members an even chance as much as possible. Quote
Grimmbeard Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Great comic! Very funny, especially the barrel! Instead of "it will continue" I'd suggest "but seriously folks..." Quote

(Sorry Purpearljellyblob, I had to, at least I didn't mention you!) I am specialised in managing barrels and ensuring all barrels are in tip top condition. It would be a miracle for anyone to be able to stay in a barrel for a week without my maintenance! You would be most suited to undertake this task, given that you are highly adaptable and can survive in low light and low oxygen. If you find it uncomfortable in there, I can wield my magic and add a few extra holes for you! Nice comic Brig. Brick! Good job! Edited January 3, 2013 by Purpearljellyblob Quote
Blackar Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I really like the jokes. Nice ideas there. Quote
Brickington Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Extremely funny! I love the glory-barrel! Great comic! Quote
Sir E Fullner Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I think you forgot a few things that the blues copied from the reds. For instance, your shakos are an original redcoat design. Plus, our redcoat Admiral has a better sense of fashion than that grubby old governor of yours. Quote

Yes, Bluecoats were released in 1989 and Redcoats in 1992, so Redcoats copied the Bluecoats. Very good comic and I was surprised to introduce the islander as being the King of Comedy. I find this a brilliant idea and I appreciate your scenario. Wonderfully done! Quote

I tried to follow the storyline, the number of panels, i keep it in mind, but not the number... I made a quick (...and bad ) calculus of the numbers!... but not with bad intentions! ( ), Also, it's good to see that, if the redcoats feels some protection from the organisation, well, is not that way! Else a very nice comic! MstrOfPppts Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 in that moment, it could be crowded on the imagen... took your advice, thanks Ha, it looks better and this time it's legit But what I had in mind was the 4th image not the 4th panel, so now panel 6 There should be some Hahahas - not too big - but the crowd looks bored although the islander is quite funny Quote
Antonio Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 So much Bluecoats Very funny entry i giggled at the flagship thingy and the glory barrel finished me Quote
Sebeus I Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Great take on the theme, that Islander is a star, I LOLed at that glory barrel, nicely done. Quote

There should be some Hahahas - not too big - but the crowd looks bored although the islander is quite funny I think that, more than entertain the troops, the "haha's" have to come from you guys, the real spectators!, but, as I tell before, I took your advise on the little modifications, thanks! So much Bluecoats Very funny entry i giggled at the flagship thingy and the glory barrel finished me I hope that many people could see the little details on each panel too, I know many of you realize them! Great take on the theme, that Islander is a star, I LOLed at that glory barrel, nicely done. thanks! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Great entry, even if you are on the other side. The barrel really made me laugh! Quote
Mazin Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 That was very nice Brig. Brick! Thanx for the tickets btw! Seats in the first row... wow... I apppreciate that... Great story altogether. So much effort and lots of details. Then again there must be a leak in my head, as I have an islander as a tv star ( presenter ) in my upcoming entry too... Now Sebeus' thread then this... We bluecoats really have a lot in common. Wonder if I should post it in this situation, but I don't wanna kill off something I did spend some time on... Quote
Esurient Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 That is a great comic! Always nice to see me sitting at the front row, eager to listen to more Redcoats' embarrassing stories. Quote
Brig. Brick Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) (...) Thanx for the tickets btw! Seats in the first row... wow... I apppreciate that... I have to say... you bring the food! haha Then again there must be a leak in my head, as I have an islander as a tv star ( presenter ) in my upcoming entry too... Now Sebeus' thread then this... We bluecoats really have a lot in common. Wonder if I should post it in this situation, but I don't wanna kill off something I did spend some time on... I have to say, I had an idea like yours, but you post it first!... the RvB in Todays news... so I had to change even the scheme I had made it... Yawmoth is my eyewitness. That delayed my official entry a couple of weeks, but well... the las TOR, all the extra comics or comments where made it on the headquarters, not the "RVB topics", but also, in that time, it doesn't exist the panels for each side, or the (unused yet) ranks ( post on the TOR 3 Headquarters) Have a question... Is it possible to write down which avatars can be seen in which comic somewhere? Or simple "credits" on the very bottom of each entry? There were some doubts about who is who in some comics, and it's always nice to find own avatar in another story I'm gonna make small credits in my entries anyway One of the most interesting thing on the entry is try to guess which avatar is on the comic... of course, some avatars are more easy to recognize... just look at the details!
