barman Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Hi everyone, It been a while since I posted something. Last year (2012) I made some MOCs, but never took the time making photos and video's. Now I'm slowly making up for lost time. I will be posting the new MOCs here To start off, here is my latest. My first Mindstorms project, a Robotic Humanoid Hand. Displayed on Lego Fanwelt, Cologne Germany, for the first time in working order. On Lego Fanweekend I had the fingers connected to the palm of the hand. On Legoworld Zwolle The Netherlands I had the hand completed. On Fanwelt is was done. My buddy NXTchris helped me explaining how the programming of a Mindstorms MOC works. He programmed the waving and I later edited giving the thumb. And a Youtube video Looking forward to your replies Quote
Paul202 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 That is amazing, probably one of the best NXT crestions I've seen in a long time. Quote

z3_2drive Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 that's amazing, movements looks realistic, amazing what can be achieved with lego and programming Quote
ciken Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) the photo just looks like a render nicely done hand barman Edited January 4, 2013 by ciken Quote
Jim Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) Very nice! I love NXT creations and especially robotic arms or hands. The way you implemented the movement of the fingers is simply outstanding. Very well done. I have one of these at home, which I wanted to use for a creation like this. Would be great to be able to control the hand with this P5. http://www.vrealities.com/P5.html Edited January 4, 2013 by Gekke Ted Quote

Splat Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Great work Barman You've done a great job of getting very natural and fluid movements. Quote
nielsvdv Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 very cool creation :) als because i make protheses like hands, lower arms, legs.. pretty impressve compared to protheses hands. you could make it functional, closing and opening can easelybe done by 2 muscles on your arm :) Quote
legolijntje Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 @legolijntje, it looks like your on a roll. Looking forward you reverse engineering this... lol. I often have the feeling to reverse engineer mocs, but most of the time they never finish. I have some more half completed mocs from other builders too Quote
Jeroen Ottens Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Wow, that is a really cool hand. I especially like the way you control the fingers! Amazing. Quote
