Hi there!

Just finished my latest build. Loras the Hunter lives with his family in this house in Woodward, Avalonia. He has the privilege to hunt in Woodward, granted by Lord Mephistopheles himself. The Lord prefers to visit and hunt with Loras from time to time, thus he has a reserved room.

Loras is also a secret member of the AAG, Avalonias most feared Assassins Guild. He is not only a Hunter, but a ruthless and cunning Assassin.

I am looking forward to build some AAG scenes including Loras. I hope you like it! More pics on my Flickr!

Awesome walls, I don't think I have seen that technique used like this before - usually it is just on bookshelves! The rest looks great too, but where is the door??? :) Keep up the great work!

Thanks everybody for the nice comments!

Someone's been reading DC's guide!

Very nice. Cheese slopes mastered, now the panel effect.

Great job.

Well yes, I have been reading DC's guide a couple of times. Yet I don't want to think of myself as a DC clone. I think I figured out quite some things of my own, in especially the roofing, color scheme, the windows on the top story and also those cheese slope walls in earlier builds were not in DC's guide. Just saying.

Those were two different comments, and I never called you a DC clone. I was just glad to see a different siding technique from the cheese slopes.

Though building like DC certainly is not an insult.

Word...I would love to be considered anywhere near a DC clone! But, this definitely has its own feel to it and I love it!

Yeah, sorry. It was late and I overreacted. Sorry for that.

This is a stunning building. There are so many great details, but the things that stood out for me are how you have done the windows on the arches, the panelling and the trim on the roof. The colour combinations are perfect. Is / will there be an interior?

Unfortunately there will be no interior. The disadvantage of building with dark brown is the lack of different sizes for plates. Therefore many of the 2x6 plates etc turn inwards, preventing me from doing an interior. I hope LEGO will add more variety to dark brown.

A very detailed build, full of character. I see you have tryed out that panelling idea and you have pulled it off wonderfully. I have only used it once and that was for the guide, so you can pretty much run with it all you want as its very uncommon. The colors are very gritty and work well. I know all to well about the problems with using dark brown, lets hope Lego hurry up and release 1x1, 1x2 and 1x4 plates in that color, things would be so much easier!!!

I also think you should still push forward with your cheese wedge walls as well. I thought that was a great original idea and gave you a 'style'.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks Derfel!

Regarding the cheese slope wall technique: I need to parctice more with it! Like how I can add tiles to wall and/or how I could make more interesting shapes. Imagine a side wall that shows a green dragon mosaic on tan backround! That would rock! Once I figure this out I'll make some more cheese slope MOC's.

I love this building! The paneling is superb, and you've done a wonderful job with the supports for the second floor as well as the windows and framing of the second floor. The roof is also well done. Excellent MOC!
